dungeoneering chaotic staff opinions!

I have currently made a thread about me leveling dungeoneering. I am going for 200k tokens to afford the farseer kiteshield. Now i have changed my mind and want to get the chaotic staff. I want to know your thoughts on it before i buy.

p.s. it is currently the best magic staff in game and i will be using it to mage iron drags for level 4 clues =DDDDD

 

It's only 5% more damage bonus than the SOL and it degrades, so I would put those hard earned tokens into something a little better like any of the shields or a chaotic longsword. Totally up to you though =)

 

Screw the staff. Get a chaotic longsword.

im getting the staff lol i dont mind the 2m i wana use it to mage. hopefully they make the staff better

 

Arcane stream necklace would be alot better for magic damage.
Plus you could afford to lose one or two.

So you're asking "should I get it" but every time someone tells you it's not worth it you're saying "I'm getting it"...

Sounds like your mind's already made up. Why ask?

The Chaotic Staff is absolutely awful, not worth the 200K tokens. 20K tokens, maybe, not 200K tokens. Just use an SoL, buy an Arcane Stream and Tome of Frost, however, if you use ANYTHING but mage, EVER AT ALL, get the CLS or CR. If all you use is magic, you're not playing RS right.

 

If you're really into mage, then go for an arcane necklace.
But I'd strongly suggest getting a Chaotic Longsword or Chaotic Rapier instead and just use a Staff of Light.

 

If you're going for mage gear, get arcane stream neck, tome of frost and that staff, would be awesome

 

i am going to wait until after they do the dungeoneering update if the staff still sucks after that i wont get it. does anyone know when the update will happen?

 

I definitely wouldn't get the staff it's a waste IMO. Get something better

P.s. i think the dungeoneering update is set to occur sometime this month

 

Arcane Stream=15% 30k tokens.
Chaotic Staff=20% 200k tokens.

Sol... 15% buyable with some junk.


It would just be better to get an Arcane Stream with a SOL.

 

ok as of right now ii wont get it unless they update it in some way to make it desirable...but then what will i spend my 200k tokens on. i cant wield cls and tbh i dont wana train my attack to wield it
