I've got a similar problem to you, although I think I'm more addicted to the altered state of mind than the weed itself. I'm just as content getting drunk as to getting high, but generally when I get bored, the first thing that comes to my mind is smoking up. I don't necessarily want to stop, but I know a day is going to come in my life where I'll need to put a stop to it and it will seem difficult. If I have any advice, its to keep yourself busy, and away from things that would tempt you.

Ive decided i dont want to quit. I wanted to quit cause i was convinced it would send me mad from people saying it will but now ive realised its not even bad so until i need to stop im not going to

Ha weed is retarded, tried a few times, and it made me anxious, so now I'm smoking cigarettes.. IMO, it's way unhealthy physically, but mentally, it makes all my anxiety go away.

Well, that isn't really a physical addiction, more a dependence. You're smoking it for a reason, whether it be to escape problems or just escape yourself, to cut back, deal with your issues, you won't need as much. Also remove yourself from the friendship group where toking is an everyday habit, if you're trying to cut back, that isn't a good environment.

It's absolutely impossible to become addicted to Marijuana unless laced with something like Cocaine, and that's a proven fact. The truth of the matter is that you're not addicted to Marijuana, you just merely WANT it. I've been smoking for 2 years now, and I've been smoking a whole ton. I'm 17-years-old.

But, if you're so uncertain about yourself and you want to stop but still want the high feeling, then may I suggest smoking the Damiana plant?

The Damiana has a very similar effect to Marijuana, it's legal, and it's $10.25 USD for one gram of Pink Lotus, which is a flavor. Not to mention it doesn't come up on UA's!

 

In my opinion if you sort out your own life in terms of self confidence and esteem then you will not see marijuana as a dependency anymore.

i smoked weed before allot, and i just decided i won't anymore and stopped, i been weed free for a year now

 

I've been getting this due to it being summer and having a lot more free time.

If you're half as busy as me during the school year then you'll occupied with something else and won't do it.

 

If you want to stop weed you should cut down in stages. First i would just reduce the amount you smoke, just have half a joint whenever you fancy it, then cut back on how frequently, for example, smoke it every 3 days instead of every 2 and so on. And then i would finally make the big leap and stop weed altogether, just smoke normal fags for a while, then start wearing patches. All be it this is coming from a self-confessed weed addict who has no intention of stopping ha.

 

weed isnt the same as cigs in my eyes i only do weed to act fucked for abit and the munchies are nice guess im trying to say ive never 'craved' weed.

your 15. you dont need no fucking help lmao... theres no problem punchin a set now and then but if your lately going on roadies or touring around for hours just to punch cones..pipe w.e you do then i find it a waste of time ( after being around it & doing it for 3 years.. im 17 now ) Theres so many other things you can do with that time.. maybe just do it at night tho before you go to bed or something then its nicee lol.... if you wanna quit just punch the biggestt cones you can and fuck your lungs up.. youll start hating it trust me lol..

 

You aren't addicted to weed, you are addicted to the high.

Being 15, you are young and don't have much to do. However, as you get older, you will come upon different things to occupy your time with, such as a job.

If he had xanax available every day I am sure he would take it quite a bit. Not because of the addiction to the pill, but the addiction to the high.
