Girls
​

One afternoon I walked in school and saw a girl,
Look into her eyes, I knew she was a pearl.
My mind was playing tricks, definitely not fun,
That day I thought she was the one.

Monday, The week is starting over,
In need of luck, I spot a clover.
Pick it up and hold on it tight,
I want this to be our night.

Days over and nothing came of it,
So I thought what else, my wrists to slit.
Grasp the blade, something is not right,
I suddenly become overcome with fright.

Next day I rise, noticing I'm still alive,
Off to school now I have to drive.
Upon my arrival I cower my head,
Then she approaches me, I'm glad I'm not dead.
