Fastest way to 99 mage?

What's the fastest way from level 60.


I have about 18m to spend.
Will be doing it legit btw.

 

Ice bursting is the fastest way, but it will cost a fair bit more than that.

Using stun with sacred armour is also quite fast.

 

high alchemy yew long bows, very fast.

 

Get 70 somehow.
Burst with sacred mage hat and good mage gear.
250k-300k xp/h at skeles.

Barrageing is 350k-450k/h.

 

You couldn't afford to burst your way to 99, so that's ruled out the fastest.

You could afford to high alch to 99. From 70, I think it cost me around 12m.

This was a few years ago, though I don't think prices have changed to much.

 

Superheating steel bars.
Atm its no profit/very little loss at 80-95k xp/hr(depending on computer speed) using Fall3ns superheater.

edit: since you're doing it legit it would be too tedious so alching is your only option

 

high alch maple longbow u.. yew longs are almost a 200 gp loss. which would cost way more. id suggest alching to 80 then stunning to 99.. unless youd like to keep alching.

 

Stunalch. 160k/hr, at a loss of like 300k/hr.

Definitely doable with 18m.

 

320k/hr with Sacred Clay armor (640k/hr with Brawlers AND SC Armor). If you already have 94 Magic just go to S.C. and Barrage everybody you see. Either that or join "Fast SC" Clan chat for non-combat maximum reward potential.

 

yes, if you'd like to save some money and waste time id suggest getting sc armour also.

 

Sacred Clay makes it much easier. I'd suggest bursting is the fastest but not the best for money.

 

You can alc while collecting red spider eggs. Just buy a few spider pouches/scrolls. It minimizes loss while small summon exp.

 

Sc would only boost the stunning, not the alching.
Would make stunalching about 240k/hr.

Also, if you're gonna use sc, the noncombat clans make for much faster point collecting than legit sc playing.
