    Q: Do you hire teenagers? If yes, what is the chance of a 17 year old getting the job who only speaks English.
    A: Teenagers are the majority of employees hired in at McDonald's. Teenagers typically learn faster and can deal with the stress and ongoing technological changes in stores. If you have never had a job though at this time, your chances of being hired in probably are low, due to a large increase in jobless applicants. English speaking only is fine in most areas. It doesn't hurt your chances of being hired in at all.

    Q: What if i buy food at mc donalds and eat pizza & mcdonalds at same time with friends?
    A: If it is an owner-operated McDonald's they may be fine with this. Corporation (McOpCo) McDonald's policy would be lenient, but it is ultimately decided by the store manager. It is highly unlikely they would allow a pizza party even with purchase of McDonald's food.

    Q: If i slip and fall on a slippery floor without a sign, can i sue them?
    A: You would only be allowed the case in court if you had an injury of any sort. You could sue if you were hurt in any way. If hurt, McDonald's would more than likely cover all costs without going to court.

    Q: why does mc donalds charge u for sauces
    A: Sauces do nothing but cost the store money. We charge only the cost of the sauce on us. The prices of sauce is usually calculated into the items it comes on, if substituted or added we charge you for what it costs us.

    Q: How long can you stay inside mc donalds?
    A: It's at the discretion of each individual manager. Usually they won't force you to leave, but if you've stayed longer than 8 hours a day frequently, they may question as to why you are there.

    Q: Is there a maximum limit on refills?
    A: As long as you're in the store, you're free to refill as much as you'd like.

    Q: Can I buy a large drink and share it with 5 other guys that have plastic cups and refill it ( cycle )
    A: You could easily get away with it, we probably wouldn't have a problem with it.

    Thanks for the quick answer. I've never had a job before because nobody in my damn area is hiring but I think I'll try applying to a few McDonalds.

    Tip: When applying at McDonald's do NOT go in at busy times of the day.

    Steer clear of applying, or asking questions during the time-frames of 7-9, 11-2, and 4-7. These times are considered "lockdown." We do not appreciate applications during these times, and it WILL affect your chances of being hired. Hope this helps, mdv :)

    An armed robbery. Haha, it's sad though. Our McDonald's is LITERALLY 2-blocks away from the sheriff HQ. The city's police station is equally distant in the other direction. The sad thing is, the robber got away with the couple thousand he stole :p

    I figured my pay would come up sometime. Currently I make $10.50/hour as an -hourly- manager. I'm working on a new set of management courses (i take them September 14-17) that will increase my pay and allow me a salary position.

    Regular workers' pay depends on the location and their past experience. It is typical for a regular worker to make $7.25 or the equivalent minimum wage. If you have your ServSafe (food safety qualification) you shouldn't start out less than $1 above minimum wage. McDonald's policy is to pay employees the lowest agreed pay, for maximum profit gain, explaining why you tend to see many Mexican workers at the locations. It costs us too much to train new employees, who may leave soon after starting.

    A: (Varies) Most McDonald's give a free meal on the days that they work of a value up to $5. When not working, McDonald's typically gives a 25-50% discount to employees.

    Q: What are the chances of finding a frog in my salad? :p
    A: If you've found a frog in your salad, please, PLEASE let a news station know asap. It'd make interesting headlines. I can pretty much guarantee that wouldn't happen.

    Q: What will you do if I bring an 18L water bottle, fill it with sprite and run.
    A: Umm...I don't know how you'd sneak that past the managers! Once you're out of the store though, we can't really do anything.

    Q: How much is an Mcdonald restaurent?
    A: More than you'll make in your life...just to build one costs upwards of 500K, then you have to factor in the equipment and food costs. Consider our newest machine (the frappe machine) costs more than your house, and that's just one piece of equipment.

    Have you ever experienced someone spitting in the food?

    Any sexual harassment experiences (you or not)?


    Is all of the food cooked on site or is some of it just reheated?

    Can I refill my milkshake cup with soda?

    You mentioned you would not allow refills from cups purchased on another day, but you would allow refills from a cup from another McDonalds. If I walk in with a McDonalds cup, how do you determine when or where I got it?

    A: No, and I shouldn't ever.

    A: Not for me, but fired an employee last week for "harassing" a gay female employee in the walk-in cooler.

    A: Most food is cooked on site. Certain items (Cinnamon Melts, Hotcakes, etc) are pre-made and all we do is heat them up. No meat products are re-heated.

    A: Technically, no, but we wouldn't stop you.

    A: Simple: If you're a regular customer, we recognize you. If you walk in with a cup at your usual time, we will suspect it was another day's cup. Other than that we have no way of knowing and can't do much about it. I simply stated what our policy is :p

    Edit: Going to bed now, it's late for me :p If you ask questions now I'll try to answer tomorrow when I get up. I'm happy to answer any and all questions. Who knows, may change your perception of McDonald's?

    Ok.. I'll try this once I get back to Canada..
    About the frog in salad, I've once found a kind of weird bug in my cesar chicken salad -_-
    Brought it back at the restaurent and they've said that it's not their problem :/

    How quickly does the smell of that food get to you?

    How terrible are the bathrooms to clean?

    Why don't you supply paper towels anymore? I fucking hate the air driers.

    Why don't you ever use window 1 in the drive through?

    Do you eat the food now that you know exactly how it is prepared and processed? If not, why?

    Do you prefer a competitor's food over your own?

    My friend works at Taco Bell and only gets a 5 minute break in a 9 hour shift if it's busy. Do you do that?

    Do you work or supervise during the rushes?
