    Removing DRM from iTunes

First off: This isn't pirating music. I bought the music, I own it, I have the right to use it wherever I want.

Now, I know I can upgrade my songs to the stupid iTunes Plus shit, but that would cost about 120 bucks out of my pocket for the upgrades. I have no CDs, and I have around 420 songs to convert. Does anybody know a FREE PROGRAM, WITH NO TRIAL PERIOD OR TEST PERIOD, that can remove my music's DRM?

If you bought it and own it what's the issue?

They give you 5 computers to authorize the music on.

You're over a year late to the party. iTunes has DRM-free music. The only thing you're paying for is the purchase and the authorization to synchronize the purchase over 5 computers. You shouldn't have to worry about removing DRM from any iTunes-purchased songs anymore. If you have songs from iTunes that still have DRM, delete them and redownload them from iTunes.

Little sidenote, if you actually have DRM'd music, you'd be breaking the DMCA by removing the DRM (circumvention clauses) even if you do technically own the music. Lrn2copyrightlaw.
