Sythe FM - A radio station [?]

FIRST OF ALL: I am perfect willing and would be happy to take control of this, just so you mods/admins don't have to

Just thought it could be a good idea to liven the place up abit... of course we would need DJs, I for one would love to be one, as I have DJ'd a bit before on my own and some other radios online. You could even add something like, where it says "user educator" (whatever its called) under your name, to "Sythe FM DJ" with pictures of headphones? Or even give them a different colored name.

Also, there could be compititions and stuff, prizes would be an issue... Sythe may even be able to bring in a bit of money from this is if the radio accepts donations? I'm not sure if that would go down to well but its just a suggestion

It could be a good way for people to meet new friends too

Well, leave your feedback, I know its a tad random and may not seem very likely, but its not like it costs anything (I can get the software needed for free :L) so you don't really have anything to loose!

Ummm, I don't think anyone would take the time to dedicate to this.

However maybe something like a news letter or something or maybe a weekly update on what happened on sythe - such as a list of promotions, messages and acknowledgements?

....Its not hard to set up, you just need to download SAM, which I can get for free, and add the encoder (which takes seconds)

DJing isn't too hard if you just playing the music, not speaking or anything, put music in the queue and hit auto-play...

Its not as hard as you think it might be, a 10 year old could do it...

EDIT: Example of Death seems to be interested in this, and I'm sure others will. It would surely liven the place up a bit too with some music goin on.

 

Well, that's just me. I'm sure some will support, and some won't. I still haven't changed my mind, though.

I totally support this idea, as long as there is radio banter/chatting and joking around, as opposed to just streaming music.

I would enjoy it.

 

Well you can only physically have one person DJing at the same time, but yeah people could be talkin bout some shiz, people could advertise their threads and stuff, could make a chatroom possibly so you can send requests in. There may be a slim chance of events/compitions and stuff, example: the DJ plays a few seconds of a song and you have to guess it ect. Got any other suggestions??

I would support this but....

People have different tastes in music.....Making the site seem bias to other members who don't like the music that's beeing played.

 

I've always wanted to be part of a radio station, but that's just me. I'm not sure how many people would actually listen, but I have a decent library and I'm willing to help out with DJing

 

Could have different DJ's on different days.

Monday rock, tuesday technoish, wednesday rap, etc.

You could mix it up.

 

I would make it a rule that DJs would have to play all different types of music, not just what they would personally choose. On old radios I did I played a lot of shite like Take That and stuff :L

 

Well I'm sure there are plenty of music lovers out there on Sythe that would listen. Its nice just to have a bit of music playing than just sitting there in silence.

People would want to help out too because they want to be more famous on Sythe, that could be useful
