Help with my tank ranger

Hey, ive been looking round but i can seem to find any information on account like what ive been thinking about making.

Does anyone think a ranger would own, but instead of going tank and getting say 70+, just keeping it at 45? and wealthfaring with rune plate legs etc.

I was thinking about the stats:

94 range
94 mage
44 prayer
45 def

and att and str kept low

atm my stats are

84 range
70 hp >.<!!
26 prayer
45 def - (fremmy trials done)

and im combat level 70

it seems to be ok atm, but please anyone whos had an account like this feel free to comment, cheers

 

I have just finished botting my range to 99 and im just about to start on my magic with automta pro.

Only finished the range this morning lol and I havent PK'ed for 2 years or even played RS so ill have to find out later lol.
Im going to get automta and get 94 mage now though.

 

If you don't mind me asking what bot did you use to 99 range?

And I'm pretty sure it'll do great in PVP, just get vengeance. I just got a tank ranger and it owns with only 82 range and 70 def, but the only times i've died was to vengeance, where I could've easily killed them beforehand if I had vengeance too. It helps a lot, so before anything get 94 mage, then get high range. If you seem to be getting hit a lot and dieing, then get 70 def.

You gotta try it out, see what works best for you. Keep in mind lower combat levels usually have rushing status, aka with ags/claws, whereas higher combat levels like 100 (maxed tank) would be more weak against your 70+ def. Idk, I like the 70 def even though I don't use any barrows yet pking.

Soulwars is good for botting 99 range.

To be honest, don't get over 42 defence. Because if you're 99 range and 42 defence, you're one of the most dominant pkers out there. You'll be around 84 combat with 52 prayer. When you get your defence up, it doesn't make you do more damage, it just makes it harder for other people to KO you. Based on experience, tanks primarily use cross bow hit and veng to KO, so there's no point of getting higher than 42 defence (for void).

45 DEF works fantastic on my 99 ranged tank. 94 Magic and 44 prayer at 87 combat.

 

45 def is good it gives you alot more def bonus and works well

Idk really the word "tank" means kinda high in defence, I suggest 70+ for Torag helm?

 

id go with a ranger they are pretty effective nowadays with d bolts (E) etc.
