This has been discussed so many times, just fuck off you fagex lover , point is they've had alot of fail updates (barley any good ones) customer service is shit. Runescapes just so addicting, many people on these forums like myself don't even play much, we just bot then pk.

 

And thats totally fine. But why would someone cry about how shitty the updates are, etc, and yet stay and pay the 50 dollars a year? If you dislike and hate the game so much, just quit. Its that simple; and you could put that RS money to good use.

First of all, I completely understand why Jagex haters are angry. I played to PK and stake and merchant too, and I wish we could return to "the good ol' days" as much as anyone. And yeah, I'll admit it, I actually do go around collecting the majority of my quest items because it feels like I'm playing the old RS again.

After the Wildy update happened, I was one of the ones lighting fires all over Falador and protesting as hard as the next person. But I think it's ridiculous that people are still bitching about Jagex with full force about this. I'm not saying you don't have a right to be angry. We are the customers, we play the game, we should have a say in what happens, especially with updates of this magnitude.

However. I think it's clear to us now that Jagex doesn't listen to us. And honestly, I think ya need to just grow a pair and learn to deal with it. Yeah, RS used to be great. But those days are over. We aren't getting them back. The fact of the matter is, Jagex are dickheads when it comes to what we the players want, and there is no indication of them changing in attitude. So, you can whine and complain and bitch about something you are never going to get back, or you can grow up and fucking move on.

I'm a veteran, too. I've been playing since Classic. I play in low detail. I refuse to BH or PVP because I think it's an insult to the Wildy. I insist on collecting my quest items myself. I try to find players to buy from first before the GE, because I miss the face-to-face interaction of old RS marketing. That's my way of coping. I play the game in a way that most similarly resembles how it used to be, and I realise there's nothing more I can do to get it back.

And honestly, the veterans of the game don't matter. Jagex is a business, and businesses make money. As soul-crushing and heart-breaking as it is, the bitter Fagex haters that used to make up the RS community during its Golden Age don't make up Jagex's income; the younguns who play now do.

RS is evolving. While most people who knew RS at its height would say it is not a positive development, it's still changing, and whining, however fair and deserving that whining is, will not bring the old RS back. It's time to grow up. Stay and adapt, or quit and move on, but wishing for an era that will never come back does no one any good.

jagex should not to major updates that effect the game because a lot of people quit like the wild update years ago by removing it and they made rs membership cost about $1 more because they lost a lot of players. Some of the updates are just pointless and should be voted on if it gets added or not by the players who pay every month instead of making the update and causing riots and rants. Another example of an update recently is the climbing boots that really had no effect except on pures who pk and used them because they are 1 defence and riased the price from like 12 gp to 70k? lmao what a fail and useless update. Jagex has some really dumb ideas that they think improves the game when all it does is make people quit the game. Jagex has poor customer support and never really asks the players for some important updates.

Best dang post I've read in a while to be honest. Just reading that took me back to those old days. I miss the community we used to have. Back when there was more face to face in game. Back when "gf" was said out of respect of a good opponent and not a way to pretty much say "you suck" with sarcasm. And then the children started playing and ruined the community. That along with the bad updates ruined things. But I still love the game cuz its something to do when I'm bored.
Respect to you for posting something actually adult. And for trying to hold onto what it used to be like. I on the other hand just choose to adapt and move along.

All games have RWT. The difference between Runescape and others is that Jagex decided to be retarded and tried to fix it, effectively ruining the game. Now they're trying to fix it. And failing.

Your just the example of people I'm talking about. You still play a game/look at forums of RS while you publicly ridicule it. Your rage is focused on something that happened years ago. You act as though Jagex killed your family or as though they have done something to destroy your life. Just try to remember, its a game.

 

At least they try. And they have made it more difficult for RWT and botting. They just seem to be too focused on solving their problems of other people cheating and making profit off their product that they forget/don't care about what we have to say. That and I think they got tired of listening to snot nosed moron kids. Just look at what some people post on here. Don't you think that these same kind of people raged against Jagex countless times to the point where Jagex just got sick of it? I've seen in the forums on RS before where people curse and ridicule Jagex. They are of coursed taken down by forum mods but still. Jagex is tired of hearing the less mentally fit people ramble and bitch. They are still humans working there. They took away the BTS before just because the ragers bitched about updates being days late or not living up to the kids hype. I'd get tired of that sht too. The immature kids have ruined it all.
