How to jailbreak every iPhone / iPod touch
    4.0 & 4.0.1

    1. Be sure your iPhone / iPod touch is running firmware 4.0 or 4.0.1. You can do this by going to settings -> general -> about and looking what is says after "version" or, plugging your iPhone / iPod touch into iTunes will tell you.

    2. Open safari on your iPhone / iPod touch, and navigate to www.jailbreakme.com you should see a screen like this:

    3. Slide your finger to start the jailbreak! WARNING: this may take a few minutes, so be patient.

    4. Cydia should now be installed on your home screen.

WARNING: As of right now this will disable FaceTime and MMS, however there should hopefully be a fix out soon.

There's been many guides created on this topic. There seems to be a lot of information missing, such as the instructions on what to do after you've jailbroken your iPhone/iTouch.

If you're writing a guide, you shouldn't have this:
You need to thoroughly describe every possible thing involved in this step with your own words and pictures. This is what a quality guide contains.

Unfinished guide that needs more information added to it. Once this has been done, it'll be a good guide. Good luck.

There are many guides, however none of them can be used to jailbreak the 4.0+ firmwares / use this method.

I didn't write this guide with the intention of people new to the jailbreak scene to read it; it's more for people who have jailbroken in the past and already know what to do once they've jailbroken their device.

First, I would like to thank you for this guide. I didn't know the new jailbreak has been released so now I can upgrade to 4.0 and re-jailbreak :) So I guess it's a good topic (At least for some.) Elsewhere it's rather disappointing. This jailbreak is so easy to use almost anyone could figure it out without a guide. You needed to take this to the next level and make it more imaginative.

Format wise it looks reasonable, pictures where they're needed, etc but definitely from for improvement. The green font for example, is a little unappealing.

In the information aspect it's not too great. As I said above its so easy you could basically have just given a link to the jailbreak. Hahanerd mentioned suggesting some things to do once Cydia is put on your iPod (Such as Winterboard, Appsync, etc.) Or even a short "How-too" guide on restoring your iPod if you don't want the jailbreak (I know you said it was aimed at people who already know about jailbreaking but every little bit of information helps.
