Ghosts, Demons, Heaven & Hell. Are they real?

So, i made a thread to find out your opinions on Ghosts, Demons, Heaven and Hell. Just tell me what you think of them.

Ghosts: I think they are indeed real, i have never had an experience with a ghost, but my Mother has. I believe not all ghosts are good though.

Demons: I'm led to believe these are real, although they do scare me, I think they're real.

Heaven & Hell: Well, my whole family, on my dads side is Catholic, so i'm led to believe Heaven and Hell are real, I do honestly think they are real, its just something i believe.

One experience i had when i was younger was: Me and my Family were on holidays in Gin Gin, Qld, Australia. I was only 6 or 7 at the time and i really had to go to the toilet.(When i was that age i always got someone to come to the toilet with me if i wasn't in my own house)And no one would come with me, so i went alone. I urinated and went to wash my hands, but before i did. I kicked the toilet doors open, cause i was just being silly, and Psycho, because i had lollies, lol. And the very last door, i kicked open. It had a pale white man standing there fully naked, with scratches all over his body. I cried and screamed as i was leaving.. and i collapsed outside. It was very scary.

What do you think?

 

I currently take the stance that it is difficult for me to believe anything in those range of topics and supernatural phenomenon without some sort of empirical basis.

I used to believe in that stuff. Then I realized how stupid it was. So now I don't.

 

Mhmm, i see. Alright so you say it is stupid, does this mean i am stupid. No one really knows the answer to this, i am asking the opinions, it is not fake, nor is it real. None of this can be known until someone finds out.

umm... If something isn't fake then it has to be real... and if something isn't real it has to be fake.
Also, something that can't be proven=fiction. Something that can be proven=fact. Ghosts,demons,hell,heaven=Fiction.

 

None in the title are real.

I have absolutely no clue what you just said, But yes i do believe in Jesus and God, I believe that God created humans and animals, although, i also believe we started off as nothing but bugs, and evolved into the human race. :/

 

He means, if God is real, why would he deny us at the gates of Heaven and send us to eternal suffering and pain?

God cannot make decisions for us. He put us here and it is up to us to believe in him. If you created a whole world, a whole new race, and gave someone the Gift of Life, and in return they disbelieved you and told people you were not real, would you allow them into the Gates of Heaven, and let them enjoy Eternal Life?

You can believe in Evolution and still be Catholic. I went to a Catholic school 6th-8th. They taught Evolution there. They just claimed God was the person behind Evolution, who was making it happen.

 

I'm not catholic, but perhaps we should stop taking such a literal interpretation of every nuance of religion. I, for one, have taken the stance that the whole creationism idea serves only to tell us that God played an active role in the world coming to being and its continuity (at least in my religion).

 

My opinion; There is no god, there is no demons, there is no ghosts, there is no heaven or hell, wake up.

 

Tbh, I think heaven and hell is all in the mind.... Once you die i believe that your mind is still active.... You kno when you dream, i think it will be like that...

As for ghosts, I believe sort of :S, basically when my dad passed away my nan was cleaning his house.... And she had walked threw this door way many many times (into the front room) and i walked in there after here and i felt something brush the top of my head... bareing in mind that my nan had cleaned the whole house and walked threw this door was many of times, and she walked threw there before me so there was no cobwebs....
