    Sythe,

    It's time..

This place needs to be less strict on bans. It needs to have some leeway on some of the bans that go around here. I mean so what if the guy was a bit late on disputing the ban, is it really necessary that he's permanently banned forever even if he has a valid dispute?

So what if the person made a minor mistake and did a slight goof up of words..you're going to permanently ban him for that?

I think it's time that we all take a chill pill and relax, a lot of people around here should not be banned. A lot of it is just stupid, hateful, and terrible.

I'm not talking in reference to scammers either. Scammers should get the worst treatment, I agree. But what about the people who were just having a good time, or just maybe going through a difficult period and flipped out on someone and you banned him permanently?

I mean, just think this over...give some people some more leeway.

Think of it like this, this place is a community to completely undermine another community's rules and regulations, and hope to not get banned. Yet you take this community's rules as if they were a godsend and need to be so seriously and harsh on punishments. It's ridiculous.

Please, everyone, see my logic. See that so many people need not be banned. It's really ridiculous, you guys act as if sythe.org's rules are so important, yet by doing that you're being hypocritical and an extremist.

Can we all just sit down and have a talk about this? Can sythe comment on this, please sir?

    Thank you,

    Brandon

He broke a rule that moderators have to abide by, and should remain banned. He's obviously dishonest.

Who's he? I don't think you understand what we're talking about.

I'm talking about having some leeway for some people. This is in NO way regards to austin's ban, however I disagree on it.

I think he should definitely have some leeway in his case, but i'm talking more than just his case

Haven't you all heard of a second chance? Haven't you all considered that this is complete bull that nobody gets a second chance around here?

Scamming is one thing, but other things are another.

I believe they should defenitly ease up on the phishing rule. RuneScape phishing should be okay ( I don't do it, never have, or did). Everyone on a RS cheating forum know RS3 isn't real etc.

I support. If very sufficient proof is given then yes, they should be banned.
But they do need to look into thing a bit more.
And yes, they should be more considerate on some of the rules.

I agree with them being hard on people, if they let leeway go more bad people will be able to do bad things and ruin the community, what they are doing is right

    Well...

But even other disputes some are a bit harsh and mods seem to not care or listen... But it is upto the mods and if they think keeping one banned then that must be the best best idea...

i'm not talking about scamming. Scammers / phishers are stealing from other people and should be banned.

I'm talking about more minor rules that people get banned for. I mean i'm talking in general, farcast, but take daily for example..he was banned because he only chooses to troll the spam forum and do nothing else around the community.

Are you serious? That's a legitimate ban?

I'm not talking individual cases, but in general people need to have second chances. It's really ridiculous.

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if someone is genuinely remorseful for a mistake, and/or will change their behavior if given a second chance. Rules are rules, and we all have to follow them. While I wish there was a way to filter out the people that do deserve a second chance, you have to remember, this is the internet, and it's essentially impossible to do so.

Yes, but why can't there be a second chance?

I mean if they've proven to be remorseful and change, why won't they be unbanned?

I see Black or White when it comes to rules/ethics... Not considering the Gray area where Black and White meet is what makes us different from other sites. Understand a member's individual actions is what raises the subject this thread is attempting to debate, not Sythe's rules.

I agree. Scammers should have the same punishment but some other rules need to be fixed. My example is Lukef555's ban. He was banned for discussing how to use a keylogger on another forum. Has he used one? (or is there any proof show he used one?) No!

You've given us more leeway with things like spamming (Only 3 day ban for 3 infractions, etc) it's now time for the same thing to happen with permenant bans.

i agree, i dont think its fair that someone gets banned because they said the wrong thing about the wrong person, thats just getting cocky on the admins part and such....
side note: i think the people who are banned should get their posts deleted automatically or banned people who still have a chance to appeal should get posts hidden until appeal time runs out or they get denied

Been suggested many times before. It won't happen because even if they're banned there previous posts can be helpful, needed, etc.
