If I am not mistaken... a hosting company is indeed a business.. Many people have these types of signatures.. I am not trying to put one user in the spotlight, but either the rule needs to be changed, or there needs to be some sort of clarification so users understand..

 

If you saw the words in the brackets, they mean goldfarm sites. I'd appreciate if a staff member would shed some light on the situation.

 

I was told by Pen, that anything in a users signature is at their discretion. AS long as it doesn't break the pornography rule, and doesn't blatantly break rules.

It doesn't matter, i've seen a bunch of people claiming that if you use them as their referrer you will get a 10% discount. People who have only just signed up. Hope that may just clarify the situation.

As for your problem, they don't mind if you advertise websites, (in my sig, you can clearly see I am advertising) whereas, if it was a gold farming site, they would have a problem. If you want to advertise a gold farming site, you can get them to pay sythe to advertise here.

 

To my understanding, this is fairly accurate.

Avoid pornography and advertising sites such as Gold4RS or Usfine in your sig and you're fine. Personal sites or other forums are allowed, but large businesses, more specifically dealt with in the runescape blackmarket area, are not allowed. Hopefully that clarifies it up for you.
