Random Poem #2

So, the other day, I posted one of my poems on this section, and got some less then enthusiastic (yet nowhere near bad) replies.
Sooo, now I'm going to post a slightly better one I have, and see what happens!
This one's song inspired, Post your opinions! =o

Listen

I just wanna tell you,
Just to make it all clear.
I'm not asking for much,
Just your listening ears.

I'm not expecting anything,
I just want you to see.
Standing here by your side,
Is all I want to be.

I'd give you my heart,
And this little love letter.
You might give it right back,
Tell me you like her better.

I'd close my eyes,
Tell you I really don't care.
Just another pretty lie,
It just isn't fair.

 

makes little sense, and that doesnt make it too deep to be understood either.

 

This poem was put into the locker of my crush.
The first stanza shows that I just want him to know my feelings, and nothing more.
The second stanza says that I'm not expecting a relationship, or anything at all, and I don't want things akward between us.
The third and fourth stanza are exactly what it says.
