How to Clear and Destroy Viruses On Your Computer!

Almost all of us have run into a time at one point or another when we have had a virus on our computer. These viruses can steal our identity, cause annoying pop ups, and make life a living hell for the user by slowing down the computer and delaying downloads.

If you even suspect you have a virus, you need to take many precautions to keep your identity, and computer safety intact.

Steps you should take to protect your computer.​

1. Download a free virus scanner/destroyer. I prefer Malwarebyyes' Anti-Malware.
-There are two (2) versions of this. A Free version, and I paid version. I currently only have the free version of this software.

You will then be redirected to the download link.

2. Click download now, the download should start immediately.
-Click the Setup button. If nessessary, click "run" as shown in the picture below.

--You then need to select your language from the scroll bar. Then click "ok," the default language is English.

The Setup Process​

On the first page click "Next". Then you have to agree to Malwarebytes' Antimaleware's (mBam) License Agreement. If you agree to them (you must to use this tutorial), then click next to continue. For visual aid, see the pictures below.

Read the information page and click Next. You then must select your destination folder. If the folder has yet to be made, it will be made to put the files in. As an example, you could save it under. C:\Program Files\mBam
However, the default will work just as well. Once again, if you need visual aid, see below.

I never worry about this page, so just click next. This next page is very important. I will urge you to make a desktop shortcut. This makes it so you only have to click and then like magic it is open and will save you time of looking through files trying to remember what it is saved as. A quick launch icon is for windows vista/7 next to the start button those icons. As posted twice above, see the pictures below for a visual model to assist you with the setup process.

You are now ready to install. This process can take anywhere from 20 seconds - 20 minutes depending on your internet speed. To start the installation, click the button that says "install" the picture below can offer visual aid for those who need it.

Congratulations! mBam is now installed on your computer!

How to Use It​

Run the program as an administrator. Right click and click on Run as administrator. See the picture below for help.

Upon opening mBam, you will be brought up with a page with 3 options. You can select Quick Scan, or Full Scan. The third option is for the paid version only. I would recommend a Full Scan.

Click the Scan button. Then you must select what drives you'd like to scan. I recommend just selecting them all to ensure you are fully clear.

It will then display how many items it has scanned, Objects Scanned, how many items are infected, Objects Infected, and what is working on at that time, Currently Scanning. See the visual below to show what mBam displays.

What If I Have Infected Files?
​

Stop! If you see an infected file come up, don't immediately abort the scan. All infected files are sent to the quarantine tab until the scan is over.

Once the scan is over click "Show Results" where Pause Scan/Abort Scan is located.

When you click Show Results, the infected page will come up. Just click "Remove Selected" to delete all of the viruses.

After this happens. A "Log" will come up. There is no need to save this as it is saved in your Program under the Logs tab. These logs automatically open in notepad. They can be accessed at a later point in time.

It's pretty simple the guide topic, how to run a virus scan. However you've explained this one very well. You should centre your text and pictures and defintley resize the pictures a small bit. Good use of colours, not a bad try.
