    So I'm a terrible student
I'm all honors but I have a 2.9 gpa. I just finished freshman year. The problem is I'm not motivated to do work. I can't follow through. I take mess, but it doesn't work. I stopped smoking and drinking, and am sober currently, not helping. I just fall through on myself and procrastinate.

My parents want me to be the best I can be, but I feel trapped.

Sometimes you just have to force yourself... ive never been motivated to do anything but sometimes there is no other way than just making the first step and sticking to it, no matter how hard it is.

Lack of motivation is sometimes the result of depression. Could speak to your Doc.

Think about the rewards at the end. It's what I usually do to make sure that I do my work properly. Currently, I've only got a year and 2 months of high school left. It makes me happy.

Your freshman & sophomore year aren't that important as to your junior & senior year, just remember that.

You still have some time, just force yourself, because at the end, you will see it was worth it to try your best.
