How low will blue h'weens and eggs fall?

I have a blue h'ween mask, and an easter egg. If I sold them on this forum how much would I have to pay someone to buy each? They are rares, shouldn't they always be rising?

 

occasionally old school players come back and sell a lot of rares causing them to drop slightly, scaring other people into selling. However rares were merched hardcore in the last few months.

Yes, they always are rising.
But ocassionally, you know how RS is..every now and then merchers get scared and sell their rares asap because they think they are gonna drop, thus they lower in price. You might want to wait a few months, when the prices of them ( which most likely ) will increase.

 

Not much tbh. Hold onto them, Some ghay merch clan will dump them too early causing to decrease

 

rares are a good long term investment, by definition over long periods of time they MUST increase in value. If you can, bank it and forget about it for awhile.

i was given a lecture by the rich fags in world 2 earlier.
they say that i should read "behind the scenes" because it said that in the treasure trails update they will be bringing in a dragon mask or something, thats why the masks a re crahsing as bad as they are

@Zerkaa Runescape won't make any more rares than they have now. Also, why would a dragon mask do anything to the prices of rares..

@ OP: As has been mentioned multiple times, rares will ALWAYS rise over the long term. They are like antiques or collectables.

 

They won't be ALWAYS rising. In the long run though they will since they are discontinued.

It's pretty impossible to say when they will start rising since runescape economy is pretty hard to predict.

 

Rares will rise and fall just like any other items, and certain updates will toss around the prices. But they are items that only drop in numbers in the game (do to bans, deaths(yes this happens), and people quitting) Holding onto rares isn't a bad idea unless you are trying to flip them while they are high and buy while low. In this case you may never buy it back.

 

Supply and demand. There are a few left in the game and there are alot of rich ppl. the rich ppl buy em all up and watch em rise. according to a graph, they sell before it reaches a price too high for someone who wants the item to buy it. once they begin to sell. they will crash probably to a lower price then b4 they were merched. in the end the item will rise back up due to the demand and low supply.

dragon mask ppl think are a type of "replacement" to bring down the price of rares. i suggest holding on to your mask, santa was crashing and look at it now its back to raising =p

 

Keep them in your bank 'til they rise again & then sell.

 

No non-discontinued item can ever replace a rare, all it'll do is become similar to Godswords, etc in terms of rarity.

 

I have no idea, but in the long run, no matter what, they will go back up. There will always be more demands for rares as new players enter the game of RuneScape.

Rares have crashed because of the up-coming Treasure Trail update.
Two reasons-

One, the higher priced rares take up to much cash on the average account. Ex: Party Hat being 500mil is a chunk of change in someones wallet.

Two, people will want these newer items. They will be VERY rare at first. This has happened with all items, and they rose drastically. People would easily trade rares for them. Some have kept their value (3rd age.) and others crashed soon on(crowns.)

They'll crash for a bit, but they'll rise soon again. With the last two dupe glitches, and climbing boots, over 100bil has been added to the economy. This has/will continue to make prices of all items rise over time.

 

Yes esspecially discontinued items

I have hear that there is an average of 17 of each discontinued item lost per day ( thats adding up the many discontinued items found per day )

But these items no longer enter the game making them decrease in quantity, but the demand is the same overall thus making the price increase in time.

Take any discontinued item for example
Santas - i bought my 1st santa for full rune in runescape classic
now they are 75m.....

 

I only think that they will grow up eventually, because u can't obtain them from nowhere.
