    Proving you didn't recover?

As an account seller I've been wondering. You sell an account, the person sends u the money. A week later, he charges back the money saying you recovered the account. Next he reports you on sythe for "Scamming", how do you respond? "I did not recover the account." What if he just forgot his password, what if he is just doing this for shits and giggles, what kind of seller protection (Lol'd) is there?

that's actually NOT how it works.
OT - There is nothing that you need to do. If you've used a middleman, the details would be given to him, and he should've removed enough on his own so that you could no longer recover. If he recovers the money without proof that you have the account, YOU can report HIM for scamming.

    Proving you didn't recover?

The only way to clear your name is to recover the account, and timestamp a picture of the login IP.
If it shows the buyers IP as the last logged in (after the date which he claims it was recovered), then he's faking it.

Of course there are ways to circumvent even this but it would take too much planning.

A good way to avoid this is to include a clause in your sale which states after the account leaves your possession, you are not responsible for any bans/mutes/hacking of the account. If you are a legit seller then the context of the sale will be taken into consideration, you should be fine. I have had it happen to me a few times and as long as its not completely obvious you recovered the account, you should be fine.

Recover it yourself, take a pic of login with the current clock next to it, return it to the user. As long as you show its not your ip that recovered it you should be in the clear.

I would do the recover/timestamp ordeal - good idea.

and use only Paypal gift, as far as i know you cant chargeback a paypal gift?

    *google abounds*

Looks like the best way to do it is PAYMENT OWED - for an item they have already received.

or MM/OMM it. if the MM/OMM sends it they wont be chargebacking.

Yeah, Thats a big problem.. Nowa days, Paypal dont refund virtual items.. When i rang them because i got scammed once.. They said :

"Thank you for calling paypal, Unfortunatly, We cannot refund the ammount because it is a virtual item, we only do refunds on items you can literally touch, pickup and move around, Sorry for any inconvience. Paypal Limited "

    So.. Yeah..... :(
