    Eye Problems?

I have doctors I can chooes from,Ocularist,Optometrist, or Ophthalmologist. Okay heres my condition and its been going on for about a year now. Recently, last year I hardcore gaming for 13hours a day with (3) 30 minute breaks? Well now in the present ( 2010 ) , I am starting to have some eye problems. I used to be a 20/20 but now i'm like a 25 on both or one side of the eye. First I started to notice that my eyes are always hurting constantly. It's like I can stare at an object for about 5 minutes or longer maybe without blinking, thats because i don't have that feeling that other people do that make them want to blink. I'll try to explain this one, sometimes my eye vision would go clear as in everything is perfect vision but then it starts to fade then my vision gets distorted(blurry) and I know it. It's likewhenever i blink, i can choose to have my vision either clear vision or distorted but I can do either way. distorted vision( 2 sec) clear vision ( 2sec) distorted vision (2sec). Another thing is that my eyes, I start to see bubbles n lines as I look around. Yeah bubbles and lines in my vision.. when i distort my vision, i see them also and even when my vision is clear. my eyes if you want to know are constantly red because i stay up a lot playing games. its always red, people think if im high or something or tired as fuck idk what i can do but this is the best i can explain my eye vision. I can still drive etc and perfectly no need of glasses. I am the only and ONLY one in my family right now without glasses, considering i am very lucky!! sorry if its hard for you to understand lol

Sounds like you've fucked up your eyes. I don't know what you are expecting someone to post here with, a miracle cure? Go see a doctor, doesn't matter which one you see, they will point you in the right direction if you have to see a different one.

    Eye Problems?

Any doctor? I thought every doctor is different for problems. They might think i'm a retard for going to a regular doctor for a eye problem when there is a eye doctor, you know what I mean?

They won't think you are a retard. A general doctor is experienced in like all basic, general problems. There are different sorts of eye doctors, specializing in different parts of the eye. A general doctor should be able to know what part of the eye is the problem, and will tell you what specialist to go to.

You'd look like a retard, if you just rocked up to a random eye doctor and have them say 'yeah umm, did a general doctor refer you to us? Since we don't deal with that part of the eye' then you'd be all 'oh, nah, i didn't want to look like a retard going to a general doctor... but i guess i look like a retard now for not going'.

Now I do! There's more problems other than that though about eye problems though I don't tell anybody about it.Depression is one, ADHD/ADD is another that I am trying to know if I have it or not. All the doctor will do is prescribe medicine.

For the record, I doubt this is related to the time you spend gaming.

Sounds like a bacterial/fungal infection of the eye, very easily treatable, go see your doctor and he'll likely prescribe with you antibiotics.

I don't know how to explain it to her. I'll call her tomorrow to make an appointment lol but then she would be like " you need more sleep, less staying on the computer as staring at the computer screen is harmful to your eyes? "

Highly doubtful. Do you wear corrective lenses?

I can spend hours and hours in front of a computer daily, and I have 20/20 vision.

You could be experiencing a symptom of eye strain (a temporary way of your eyes telling you they need a break, it has no long lasting damage). Maybe set aside a day where you won't use the computer.

I don't wear contact lenses or glasses but i wish to have them though because it coud help. I can't stand my eyes being distorted ( blurry ) every often then it goes to a clear vision. I'm the only one in my family that needs glasses tho. My laptop screen is shoulder length and damn you lucky. I'm 20/25 or somethin like that. I used to be 20/20 until i fucked up when i started playing so many hours a day on runescape trying to get my smithing level up. The thing is that I'm addicted to computers since 5th grade.

The circles and lines you see are very normal, you may have just never noticed them before. I've had them as long as I can remember. They're called floaters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floater

About the red eye thing, sounds like you need to get off the computer for a few days. Or force yourself to blink more. I remember reading somewhere that the worst damage can come from drying of the front surface (cornea, iris etc.) when you constantly stare at a computer screen and don't blink enough to lube your eyes. Try it, it may work.

Also when taking breaks, look around in the distance. 30 minute breaks are fine, I go for hours and hours without issue, but I constantly look out the window and "test" my eyes in a way. If something appears blurry that should normally be clear, then I'll get up and take a break. May even want to try washing out your eyes with clean distilled water, or get eye drops.

ARG! Beat me to it! :p
But anyways, I wouldn't worry about the eye floaters, as I also have had them for as long as I can remember and they haven't cause me any harm.
You may also be developing an astigmatism.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astigmatism_(eye)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asthenopia
Those sound somewhat like what you are describing. The on and off blurry vision might be from a slight double vision. The reason I say this is because every now and then when I blink I can see a slight double of everything that makes things blurry and slowly fades back into clear vision.
I don't think you need to worry too much as the worst that can happen is you might have to get glasses.
Best of luck and I hope you can get your vision better!

I am legally blind. 22/100 vision here. My advice is go to a doctor ASAP as there are amazing things they can do with your eyes and you seem to be in much better condition then I am myself.

Also try to take your pc usage down by a few hrs a day and see if that helps.
