What do YOU think about Coldplay

only song i somewhat like is viva la vida...they are ok...but they arent close to my top 10 bands..

 

I enjoy some of there music, there not the greatest but have some good songs.

 

Finaly someone who understands why I dislike coldplay
not to mentioned coldplay whored themselves out to EMI.
I feel that they try to be avant garde and edgy, but they just seem boring and unoriginal.

 

yeah cold play was pretty popular when i was younger but now days im more into the heavy beats of house , rave rnb hip hop techno just anything that fits my style i dont mind a some of rock either as long as its not slow stuff.

 

I'm not really into that kind of music anymore, but they are still okay.

 

i love the band and there songs amazing

 

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're talentless, but they are most certainly boring. The only song I can really tolerate is Talk and that's only because of the Kraftwerk sample.

 

They are ok. I like the song fix you, yellow, viva la vida etc. I'm more into manchester bands (The smiths, stone roses, oasis, joy division). Only like a few london bands such as libertines.

I don't listen to them at all really now, used to listen to them a bit when I was little.

 

Back in 2003 they were ok, but now they are just money hungry, music ripping, u2 wannabes... That makes me want to kill them. (At least when i hear a song of them on the radio or TV)
In fact i should sue them for causing psychological / brain damage.

 

personally i like them a lot. not as much as i used to but i still love to listen to Viva la Vida and clocks.

 

I fucking hate them with a passion, they're just like Oasis or Stereophonics (who I also hate). Their music all sounds the same and Chris Martin is a joke.

 

Horrible BAND

 

Singers voice is too high pitched. I can only really stand Viva La Vida like d0minat0r said because of the beat/rhythm. Sorry!

 

There alright, our band covered yellow last year. Got nice results So yeah there overall a great band.

 

Not my style of music, could listen to a song here and there but other then that nty.

 

Some Okay songs, Not great though..

Maybe if they wrote their own music..

 

I love Coldplay, they are one of my all time favourite bands. I prefer their older albums (Parachutes, Rush of Blood To The Head etc.) but their new stuff is good too. Really good band

They have really changed as a band though, they seem to be very fame/money hungry now, and it seems like they're trying to appeal to what people in general like, which I find pretty annoying.

 

U2 also sucks. Bono is such a pretentious douchebag. All the money that goes to africa is intercepted by drug lords.
Coldplay is sugary pop, and they shouldn't try to be anything else.

 

LOL yeh U2 sucks too. (TBH 99% of all pop bands/groups suck)

 

I don't understand all the hate towards them. I personally love a couple of their songs.
