Reading ... do you actually do it?

Tell me to read a book, and I'll politely deny it. But, the fascinating thing about me is, when I start reading the first two pages, I get bored.

After that, I could read for literally hours without stopping.

 

Yes, I read something like a book a week over the summer. During school I find myself reading less for leisure and more for my grades though. I try to read one from the top 100 list every now and again. "The Idiot" by Dostoevsky is my current book.

 

Yeah, if you average it out.. I read about 1 a month or so.

 

I don't read in my free time unless it's really got my attention.

90% (moreorless) of the books I read are historical fiction, particularly around the vietnam war era, the holocaust era, and a lot of fiction from the early-mid 1800s area.

I haven't read a book this whole summer, though. I tend to read atleast one or two books each month during school...while I'm at school.

 

I love to read but it's hard for me to find books that I like. When I find a great historical novel on a person who I admire I usually read it quickly.

 

I'll read a book every 2 months. Depends though because sometimes I'll finish a book in a week if I really get into it.

 

I can read a 700 page book in a day.
So yes I read at least 2 books a week.

 

i used 2 read a lot but now stopped occasionally i pick up a book from my bookcase and if i get into it i start reading

I read about 1 book a month or two, usually 1 every 6 weeks. I strongly recommend "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" if you'd like to start reading

 

Don't read books, but I do read other stuff.

 

I recognize reading as being good for brain stimulation but I do not have the patience unless it is a really really good book to sit down and read for a extended amount of time

I read a lot. As in, 1+ books a day. Nowadays I honestly have nothing better to do except maybe browse around Sythe, however if I'm not in the mood, I'll just read in general...

 

I don't really do much reading unless it neccesary.

 

I haven't read a book in like 6 months.

But I read newspaper articles almost daily.

More interesting, and keeps you updated on what's going on.

 

I read books ever so often, i use iBook on the iPhone.

 

I dont read when i dont have to...well books at least.

These forums = fun to read

Books = boring
