Pinlines=Illegal.

I've never purchased a pin from a Runescape Blackmarket site. Never will, personally I prefer official pin

Also this isnt only directed at pinlines. Im making a statement, one illegal activity wont get you banned. Another will. Its ignorant

I don't buy runescape pins, and I don't think it's fair that members can get away with something that is equivalent to fraud, when other things that don't even concern sythe can cost you your staff position and get you banned.

 

Auth sales will not get you banned and program cracks (unless you made them) will only get you a one month ban because posting them will get this forum in trouble.

From a legal standpoint, you are severely mistaken. Let me give you a better analogy.

I am talking about legal drugs with no resale limitations (jagex pins are legal and i doubt there are resale limitations on them)

I am stealing drugs from a drug factory in Delaware and selling them on the street. ILLEGAL

I am buying the drugs from a man who sells them for cheaper than the factory, but I have never questioned his motives so I take them to be genuinely bought from the factory, even though I have no idea where they are from and may have personal doubts. I resell them on the street. LEGAL

Of course, drugs have resale limitations, but as stated previously, I doubt jagex pins do.

The TOS states you cannot buy a pin for anyone other than someone in your immediate family. The practice of selling pins itself is illegal already.

Pinlines are allowed while botnets and keyloggers aren't because they aren't malicious to other users. Yes, they are illegal, and yes someone is getting cheated along the line somewhere, but it's some multi-billion dollar corporation in Australia. Sythe's first interest is to protect it's users and in the case of pinlines and pinsellers, they aren't harming anyone so it's once again on that "We won't ask" and "You won't tell us" policy.

Violating Jagex ToS isn't illegal, it's just violating their ToS.

Pinlines are fraud; essentially you are scamming and stealing $10 from someone to buy a pin.

Botnets and keyloggers do not have to be malicious. Pinlines ARE malicious in the sense that you are literally STEALING $10 from someone you don't even know! This is probably the closest you can get to scamming, yet it does not get you banned? That's just silly!

I believe you are confusing ToS and Law. And even if the ToS was the law, would you recommend removing the market section completely? As everything in it would therefore be illegal.

 

Regardless, I am not saying pinlines should get you banned because selling pins violates their ToS. I am saying pinlines should get you banned because it requires you scam someone for 10$.

I'm acknowledging that pinlines is effectively stealing, but it is not stealing from Sythe users or other forum members, therefore it is not scamming on Syhte, and therefore it is not a bannable offence.
