Spam Reports

It's sort of like runescape hi scores, I assume. The higher the logs the more you can brag.

 

We have a quota to fill each month - differing amounts for each Section and Globals - and there are punishments for not fulfilling this quota.
Some sectional moderators don't have much to do in their sections, so they rely upon the mod logs gained from Spam Reports to make the cut each month - naturally, they would want to maximize the number they get and leave off the reports until the 1st.

 

Spam reports aren't there as a means of getting mod logs and they should be dealt with whether it's the first of the month or not. Sectionals better hop their lazy asses on to the spam wagon or I'm gonna bring the pain.

 

Mod logs are like post count to some.

It's not really motivating starting knowing there's 12 pages to do, and you have no chance doing all of it. And if you do 1/4 or 1/3 it will just fill up again.

 

There has to be enough spam reports etc for you to fill your quota each month. I don't see how you need to leave more then 6 pages worth then start after the first. Not to flame or anything, but I think it's more of an excuse not to do them, rather then for the purpose of "filling a quota".

 

You're talking to someone who helped clear out over half of them when it got to 50+ pages once. I was a good sectional

 

I personally don't care how long they take to get done. "Justice" will be made
eventually and it shouldn't really matter whether it takes 10 days or 10 minutes to be done.

 

It's a bit disheartening to users to think hey, I reported a user and 7 days later they are LOOKED at. I myself reported a user who had scammed me, and I had no knowledge they had scammed 2-3 others. I then reported it, and was told he had already been banned (this was AFTER I did the trade, and before he was banned)

 

Thanks for pointing this out. There isn't any real excuse for it. The sectionals maintain that they don't need more sectionals to be promoted yet are guilty of this negligence. They shall feel my wrath!
