I'm not sure if you want to consider this a suggestion or just general feedback.

However, I've noticed that some of the punishments for breaking rules are handled differently.

For instance, people would be banned instantly if caught with ********s (not sure if this is the case anymore), if anyone did anything suspicious on other forums, etc.

But, users come here and sell credit card funded items for dirt cheap (this mainly pertains to the Xbox market). For example, in this thread, he is selling pre-loaded accounts with 8,000 Microsoft Points. To put that into perspective, 4,000 Microsoft Points cost $50.00 USD retail - a bit odd to be selling a $100.00 USD item for $35.00 USD?

The second people started bringing attention to it he asked around then closed his shop - and got away with it? In this particular instance, he claims he got the accounts off his friend (even though he can still check if they are clean or not). Does this mean that we can sell stolen or phished RuneScape accounts? (note: this is not a personal attack against the one person, he's just the most recent one)

Just my thought is if ********s are banable (or at least were) why shouldn't something like this be banable?

It should be. If pinlines are against the rules, this certainly should be as well.

Pinlines are no longer against the rules, though, and just because something is suspicious they won't ban them...So it sux

Yes, fraud is okay if admins and moderators are doing it.

It's always been fine to sell pins obtained through pinlines, as long as you're not selling or distributing the pinlines themselves.

You have no idea where I get my PINs from. Stop making bullshit claims about things you know nothing about. Thanks.

One way or another, most pins come from pinlines. I don't think that you yourself use one, but the people you buy bulk pins from might.

Once again, the whole Pinline/Credit Card funded items have always been a don't ask don't tell deal. You aren't 100% sure he's carding Microsoft Points, but it's a logical conclusion to come to. Unless all of the accounts start getting shut down, we can't really call him a fraud.

So you're basically saying that the use of pinlines is okay as long as you're not trading them?

This thread isn't regarding ********s (I was just using it as an example).

You can easily prove that they are. I asked him to go to www.billing.microsoft.com. From there you can easily check if the Microsoft Points were from pre-paid card or from a credit card. Once I brought that to his attention he magically closed his shop.

    Here is another example:

    From this thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=883455

    But it's not banable?

What if a user ignorant of what the price of his items is posts, let's say a green partyhat for $5, should he be banned? Or corrected?

That's a terrible correlation. If I give you $100 of stolen money for $20 of your money, then yeah I should be banned. If the party hat is his own and not stolen or obtained my illegal methods, then he can drop it for all I care.

This can also be pointed toward Feren Silver, he has no idea where I get my accounts from.

My accounts DO NOT come from my "friend", they come from people just like most of you guys, I do not know you, but you still sell things which I am entitled to buy.

I closed down my shop because I feared that maybe Feren was right, but im not certain whether or not the accounts were funded with a credit card, so I talked to Badger and it was best I shut it down. NOT because Feren was accusing me of phishing, because I am most defiantly not.

EDIT: I also don't appreciate Feren for giving me a bad name as a phisher. If you wanted an example, use a person who is banned for phishing, not someone who is just trying to mind his own business and trade with people.

So one can admit having pinlines and not get into any trouble, whatsoever?

So now you're lying? You told us on the thread they were from a friend, now they're from www.iOffer.com? You can check if they are credit card funded. Do not try and fly that excuse. I never said you phished. I said that these accounts are obviously funded and obtained illegally. It's still illegal if you buy illegal items. Please, stop repeating the same excuses. I'll gladly show you over MSN how to check these accounts.

Not to mention, if you get caught with these on your Xbox 360, you can get console banned - so I guess that makes you liable for $300 in gear too.

It's basic knowledge to know that any website stating that "We are not selling xbox cards, we are selling accounts PRELOADED with microsoft points/live" that it is committed through CC fraud. I am 100% that any account bought by these sellers, will show that in the billing it will state that a CC has been used and no cards have been redeemed.
