so i was called modest today

so is that a good thing or what>

cause i think i did great in one of meh classes and everyone seemed so happy for me for some odd reason and a person in meh class called modest so is that a good thing?

and yeh i searched it up and i still didn't understand the meaning of it can some one enlighten me on this strange word i hardly hear

 

If you did great in your class, and wasn't very boastful about it, you were being modest.

So yes, that is a good thing.

 

If someone says you're modest, it means you're not showing too high an opinion of your abilities.

Being called modest is a good thing, I enjoy being called modest as people respect it and notice your not being cocky with your achievements.

It means you're humble and you don't like to brag about things... Unless you're trying to brag that people called you modest, you don't look too modest yourself

 

Being Modest is a good thing..it means your not full of yourself.

 

Being modest is very good. You don't want to be called narcissistic though.
