Question about VPNs

I am wanting to do an inferno cape for a close buddy of mine. He is insisting that we do not use parsec which leaves us with the option of me logging into his account directly and using a VPN.

Could anyone give me an idea of both my risk and his risk from doing it this way? Could I get an IP ban if the VPN fails for some reason? What is the worst case scenario for him?

 

He gets a 2 day ban and loses the cape.

 

Do I carry any risk of being IP banned? Say if my VPN drops for some reason? I’m just a casual player so losing my own main would be a big deal to me.

 

If connection drops acc will dc and logout most of the time. But vpns usually dont drop for no reason.

Jagex doesnt ip ban 99% of the time.

Anyways safest way is parsec.

 

I agree with @Fontes - Parsec is pretty good I use that most of the time.

 

Parsec would be the better option.

jagex rarely IP bans. But better safe then sorry.

also some VPNs are widely used so some are flagged.

 

I often use VPN for work, Parsec for Windows works quite well. Never had a problem with an IP ban. I also recommend doing your own research. Look at the rating of the best VPNs for your operating system, test them, many have a trial period.

 

id rather buy a cape from a random with parasec over free from friend using vpn
