What equipment is the best for Castle Wars?

I plan on becoming a hardcore Castle Wars player and would like to have the best equipment possible for the mini game. What equipment is the best given I have the skill required to use it and the gold to purchase it?

 

Melee, bandos is always good armor for strength bonus and offensive stats and doesn't degrade so its reliable, if you are looking for offensive abilities for only in castle wars then Profound equipment will be for you. The profound set gives you immunity from catapults, +10% damages against barricades and +25% damage against other players. However the defense of profound armor is only comparable to rune and isnt the best defensively.
Bandos can be bought in the ge for around 50m a set which isn't the most affordable thing in thr world, while profound armor set costs castle wars tickets I think around 3k tickets which is also not easy to acquire.

If you have 94 magic (and willing to spend some money), you can get some nearly maxed out mage gear to barrage in like Ahrim's top and bottom, Mage's book, Staff of Light, Infinity Boots, Seers Ring, Fury. If you want, you can also do a Torso, Bandos Tassets (or rune legs), whip, and rune defender switch if you don't want to barrage at that moment.

 

What would be the best equipment to get for a fighter? I have 100m to spend on equipment.

 

Hybrid for more fun
Bandos for melee, whip for main weapon
Ahrims for magic, barrage (ice)

 

If you have some money for runes...and you have high magic...that can help alot...if you have ancient magic..other wise...maybe bandos as for armor if your meleeing...using a whip or mabye a weapon thats fast and hard hitting will help you alot.

 

Can I get someone to give me a layout of the equipment I will need if I'm going melee. Remember, I have 100m to spend so I want the best equipment possible.

if you ask me no equipment is "best" its like pvp you wont be guaranteed to win. but if anything get a good wep and armour to own lower levels

Personally i go with kharils a whip and dfs.

Bandos chestplate
Bandos tassets
Barrows gloves
Dragon boots
Amulet of strength
Berserker ring (i)
Zamorak godsword
Abyssal whip

Let me know if you can think of any improvements. Remember, I ONLY want this armor for Castle Wars.

 

You will want a defender or DFS to go with your whip, preferably defender.

Really anything, bring dhide for the magers, and some torag for melee? I play for fun tbh. I dont care about it but yeah gl.

 

it really depends on how you want to play and what style of combat you want to use. i personally use a mage/melee combo and it works pretty well for me. i bring multiple types of armour for defending against different attacks and such...
i usually bring something like this

armour
Ahrims top and bottom
barrows gloves
arcane spirit shield or dfs
dragon boots
zerker ring
staff of light
fury


in my inventory i usually have something like...
whip
karils skirt
zammy d hide top
veracs skirt
bandos plate
crossbow (just incase)
runes for ice/blood barrage.

i think one of the most effective methods for playing is to be able to adapt to your opponent(s) attack style by changing your armour. but only if you can click fast and stuff
