    Verification System for traders.

As the title states, this would be optional to everyone who likes to trade on sythe. Basically, a trusted member on sythe, perhaps an admin, verifies people as a trader by accepting land-line calls as verification, or, perhaps, a letter from their address. By doing this, the trader gets a symbol saying they're verified.

However, this might be a question to the ones in charge. What if this person chooses to scam even after this? Will sythe be held responsible? no. the verification simply states their probability for trustworthiness is greater, there fore sythe cannot be held responsible for the transactions that took place by this person.

What are you opinions on this? if it was to occur, what type of verification would be set in place? How could this be done quickly, efficiently, and securely?

Thanks ahead of time for your thoughts!

I think this would be somewhat helpful but you said its just a verification not they can't actually do anything with this info. it might stop a few scammers but majority would get the symbol and still scam.

Who would pay for the international calls? Would we have to pay for verification? Who would want to sit calling up 14 year old kids all day? How do you know people are who they say they are over the phone?

I believe a verification method of some sort could be of use, but what your suggesting just sounds dumb to me.

it doesn't necessarily have to be a phone call. it could be something else.

The entire idea of "verification" is completely unnecessary, although I understand where you're coming from. It's easy to be safe when trading, even with unknown users. Follow basic safety precautions and always take the time to do background checks.

Half the people here dont pay attention to vocuhes..hence why at least 5 people are scammed per day...why would they pay attention to a little symbol?

NO Support, I had vertificaton calls for my thread just like yours. It was a big waste of time i rather just use a trusted MM and pay that fee.

The problem wasent the money for SMSing around the world, the problem is sending every SMS one by one, cuase if i send 10 people the same message how hard is it to spread around lol, thats why sending indiviual text message's with different wording each time so people dont leak the "secret vertification message" is a horrible idea

    NO SUPPORT FROM ME

EDIT: I had removed the vertification phone call/sms system 4-5 days shortly after i placed it & any phone #'s i had Pm'd to me via sythe were deleted.

I do not see the use of this and how it would make some one more trustworthy.

This is somewhat similar to TrustWho, a $10 service that verifies someone based on PayPal, Government ID, Name and Phone Number. If Sythe got an ID and other info, if he/she scammed, they could easily be called up and a Police Report could be filed. Its like a positive TWC?

    Just my input.

There is no better solution for a trade than an OMM/MM. Period.
