Divine Or Ely? Why?

Title says it all. Divine or Ely?

Some hard facts on the both before you ignorant bunch start saying some random shit.

Consider the amount each costs and the places where you would use them both.

Pros and Cons for each please.

 

Ely... looks cooler, and ya it costs more but the chance of reducing is damage is pretty good and the divine well ya the damage is less but it comes out of prayer and you need prayer :/

 

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. And I plan on corping and DKing a lot so I guess Ely is better for me.

 

Ely:
70% chance of -25% damage = 100% chance of -17.5% damage.

Divine:
100% chance of -30% damage.

30 > 17.5, and so I'd go with divine.
It depends on your prayer level, really. If it's 80+, I'd go for it.

 

But a divine is 2x the price of an Ely :S

Divine is better if you have high prayer, would definitly get divine for corping, pking.

 

People PKing in Whip+Divine I can respect, but Dscim and divine just pisses me off.

Hybriding is fine too. Max I've hit with AGS spec is 350 no more.

 

Ely, it's cheaper yet still good.

I prefer Elysian Spirit Shield.
The reason is that it has a 70% chance of negating 25%, but doesn't have any downside.

Divine on the otherhand negates 30% of Damage, but 1/2 the damage negated is taken from your prayer. Meaning you have to use prayer potions to use a divine.

Plus I like the blue color better for looks as well as the teeth look to the sigil

 

id rather get elysian because quite often i need prayer and prayer is a lot of times more important than hp

Looks aren't everything... but I'm not going to lie... Elysians are sexy. I think I'm going to get an Elysian. Prayer Pots and Sup restores are wayyyy too expensive. Sometimes losing hp is fine. I won't be PVPing much anyways.
