Name Changes.

This is the second time I am posting this, hopefully now i have enough proof that i will be allowed it.

Last time I posted a thread like this, it went back and forth for well over a week just to get shot down. I wanted the '125' removed from my name. So many people (including mods and regular members) have said, name changes are not allowed. Well that is not the case here.

I have also been told that mods/well known people could get semi name changed because they would still be recognized. Well i am well known and it is a very small change that it would not be noticed a difference.

A name change should not be allowed to mods only, it has nothing to do with mod powers. I have been on numerous upon numerous forum sites (including black markets) where if you asked for a name change, you would get it, not to have a vast argument over it with the entire mod/staff.

Here is a list I have compiled of all the people (in my knowledge) that have gotten name changes. What it seams to me is that you can only get a name change based on favoritism. If I missed anyone, please let me know. Not only did i list the person, I also listed how their names were changed

I really don't understand why someone at my state cannot get numbers removed.

I have...

• 60+ Vouches (even though some of you say vouches mean nothing, they are all from sucessful trades)
• Been here over a year (joined March 2009)
• $25 Donator
• Well known amongst mods and other long term members (haha, grave, etc)

If you have anything to add saying why there is a reason i should not be allowed this, go ahead and add, i can easily come up with something to backfire it. There is no reason whatsoever that i have to go though all of this to get 3 letters at the end of a username on a website removed

It doesn't seem fair, but if one person wants one, then loads of others would want one. Hahanerd would want to get the numbers removed. I would want to get my "24" removed.

It's just really troublesome.

Have you not noticed something similar about all those people? They've all been staff at the time. Staff are allowed name changes so they look more professional and Nick had his name totally changed due to it being offensive. The only name change available to normal members of Sythe are for them to get their name capitalized.

 

I made the account "Pureown" to show that by taking this name, I will not be stealing someone elses account, meaning that account will not be deleted, showing i will be doing no harm to other sythers.

 

As I would want 1 of my u's removed..

 

the difference with my name change is that, the account "Pureown" did not exist, so it would not be deleting/forcing a namechange, on anyone else.

Most likely yours is taken, that person being active/banned/etc I do not know

 

Name changes are for staff members only.

I'm sorry if you don't like this decision, but it's just our policy.
