It's not on the DNS list so I thought I'd suggest it. The contributing members/donors can each have one email that is has the same name as their Sythe account. For example, if I was given one, mine would be called "[email protected]". Sythe himself made a poll back in '08 to see who'd use them. I believe there was 320 yes'es to combat 70 no's.

It can also crack down on impostors. As the email would be unique to each Sythe account, you'd have an easier time to ban people too. No more "that's not my email! I only had three "e"'s instead of four." crap.

If this suggestion is denied, I'd like to know the reason, if possible

Yep. Otherwise, I can request an email to be made such as "[email protected]" and go on a scamming spree. Then Sindre will be blamed and I would have got away scot-free.

Name changes are VERY rare for non-staff members. If a staff member's name is changed, it is at an admin's discretion to bestow a new email address on him/her.

Whether the email be free or paid is entirely up to the admins. I'm just suggesting the idea Not the pricing.

I like the idea, although I doubt it will happen since it have been suggested multiple times before. I think it should be a donator perk for 25 or 50+ donors (and for staff and OMMs too of course).
And about name changes; like Necro said they are very rare, and an admin would have to do it, there would be admins handling the emails too, so it shouldn't be a problem.

 

I support this, but as Sindre said; it's been suggested numerous times and nothing has ever came of it so I doubt it will this time around. I think it should be available for everyone to purchase, but you only get your Sythe username @sythe.org.

 

I agree, but I think you should; as Kadaj said, purchase it....People donate to help...and if you absolutely want this email, you should purchase it;even if you are a large donator...

 

That's probably a better idea than having it for donators.

 

Although it comes free in the package of being a $50+ and a $100+ donator.
