New Phishing Method [CAUTION]

Got this in a PM, I imagine a lot of people did too. The website takes you to the Sythe login, and when you input your details it steals them - DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK.

 

It's not a keylogger. It's a phisher. Always check the address bar and don't go to strange websites.
Report the bastard that sent you that, by the way.

i clicked the link and it only took me to an account that someone was selling

 

Never click links from new members/leechers, especially if they seem suspicious like this.

 

I wouldn't say "never". Just drag your mouse over the link and look at the bottom left of your browser. It should say what the link really is.

It's not a keylogger - It's a phisher, but you should still not click it.

 

I saw this on a different website too, there's many ways people can trick you, just have to be on your toes if you do click suspicious links.

 

I clicked on it just to see where it would take me and if you click on sythe forums it brings you to the hosting website. =)

 

Man the guy who did this is stupid.

 

If you are logged into Sythe, and it tells you to login again, it's fake.

Just be careful, I don't suggest clicking any links that seem suspicious.

 

I suggest to everyone, Do not click on the link, but by any chance you do. Its fine. If you set your account to automatically log in on sythe, and it tells you to login. Cross it off, but if you click the link, and it starts downloading something, try your hardest to stop the download, dont be alarmed if you cant. But dont open the file, and dont run it. That way, you cannot be keylogged. Unless they're extremely advanced, which i havent seen one. Although, that should help. Thanks.

 

Simple, don't click links sent to you in pms from leechers.

 

Hover your mouse over the link and look in the bottom left corner of your browser. You can see that the link isn't actually a Sythe link.

 

well I know I dont do that and I doubt most people take these precautions.

 

Hm, I got that aswell. But I'm kinda used to phishing sites from other websites, but cheers anyway.
