Best time to sell WoW acc?

I'd torn between two options:

1) Selling my account now for around ~$150


2) Cancelling my sub and coming back in Cata - Hopefully grabbing server first 85 (class/race maybe faction), gear it up to the best of the content and then sell for a way larger account


- After I sell I will be buying another account to play with friends casually most likely.. So factor that in.

 

Lol if you wanna take a risk and wait all that time then pick #2.
There's no guarantee you'll get server first 85

 

Wait till Cataclysm, get it geared up quickly and sell it off. A lot of people will still be eager to play and explore new content, so get this done while it's all still fresh!

Either now for a shitty price with high-end gear

early in cata with a CHANCE for a server first achieve and having high-end gear.

This. I remember when WOTLK came out geared 80s were selling for a ridiculous amount.

 

And I said if you can get server first achievement then sell it then, and if you can wait that long sure, but if not, sell it now....

 

I would wait until cata, that's pretty much what I'm doing, with one of my accounts anyway. ATM accounts really won't sell for over 200-250 max, when cata comes out you should be able to find a buyer for atleast 350-400, for the first 2-3 weeks into it's release anyway.

I would get it to 85 then gear it enough to start being able to raid, thats generally what people want to get to, not all this heroics spam stuff.

 

I agree with this. Enjoy the content, and get through the first tier and arena season. Try out all the new things.

Hell, I bet after you do that you wont' even want to sell . But if you do, you'll be getting a hell of a lot more $$$$
