The thing is, if they appeal it will be reviewed by multiple moderators.

Also, they don't let people on the staff team with poor judgment. Just everyone makes mistakes.

A moderator wouldn't be a moderator anymore if they were constantly "wrongfully" banning people.

This would complicate the ban system and quite honestly make a mess of it.

 

First of all unb4nn3d was banned because his msn got hacked so they had to ban him to prevent any one ells from being scammed.Second You don't know that there was no reason for those peoples bans and if the administration felt that it should take two mods to ban some one then I'am sure they would require it.

ok but the banned users would still be banned. also i know this doesnt happen constantly bc the mods here are awsome but thats not saying that it doesnt happen. just imagine you were one of those 2 guys getting ready to do a big trade or open up a service and all of a sudden get banned. you did all that work for nothing

 

His other fault is that he did not remove that e-mail address from his account. Personally, I think it was dumb of him, being an OMM and all, but I do understand that people make mistakes and I hope that he gets out of his situation ASAP.

And as Farcast said, they wouldn't be a moderator anymore if they continuously banned innocents. I'm not really sure how this system that you're suggesting will solve anything. It would make things a tad bit more complicated and time consuming. If they were banned wrongfully, chances are they can prove their innocence.

 

They didn't necessarily do all that work for nothing.

If a user feels wrongfully banned, then they always have the ability to voice themselves via the dispute forum.

 

There are no "second opinions" needed. Did the offender break a rule?
Yes- punishment
No- no punishment
Case closed.

 

you dont need to break any rules to get banned. and im dropping my suggestion bc tyro just told me that more than one mod will usually review each appeal which is the same thing anyway. but ty for the responses
