ElitistGroup - google it/get it off curse, whatever.

Install this addon and you can actually see if a player knows what they're doing, or if they're itemizing for GS. Type /eg while targetting someone in inspection range and it will show you how many of that persons items/gems/enchants they have, and how many are actually good for their spec.

You can type /eg summary and it will (slowly) load data for everyone in your group or raid.

You can leave notes so you don't forget stuff about other players.

How does it figure out if the player's gems are considered "good?"
Like for example, what if a Fury Warrior decides to gem ArP to hit the cap.
Will it say that his gems are good?
And what if a person can't reach the cap yet and gems str or something else?
I'm just curious to see if I should download it

    I always use it...

It's really useful. It tells you if they are gemmed and enchanted properly. After the raid finished it will let you rate each raid member and set a comment for future reference. And it also makes looking at achievements much quicker.

It won't go into that much detail, however it will tell you if somebody is using a low quality gem, or if say a fury warrior had AP gems it would say always bad.

I've been using this addon for the past few months, and I like it. I wouldn't use it inplace of gearscore tho, since really somebody in all ilvl 200s that are gemmed / enchanted can pass the test.

Ah, I never really looked at the lists. Mainly just inspected people and looked at the percentages.

Doesn't gearscore kind of do the same thing with /gs within inspection range?

No, GearScore just adds up and averages the item levels of the player, ignoring achievements, enchants, gems, etc. It's a really bad tool for measuring pubs since there are addons like this that are much more useful.

I like using gearscores.com, shows the charactors gearscore, their gems, experience in different raids, and achievements.

In my opinion anything that replaces GS would be good, it is incredibly annoying how people who have no idea what they're doing will get into the top raids because they've been carried through stuff.
