You can't. I'd have to post a video in order to show you how to get to that screen and everything. but its completely different than how everyone thinks.

 

Find the xml file. Right click --> Edit. Save. Open MSN convo and click history and you'll see the saved changes.

 

oh well, ill just stick to taking vids of all my trades from now on. a lot easier than all that pasting lol

 

I'd actually prefer everyone to just take screenshots of the active MSN convo screen.

 

You're not going to keep screenshots of every trade you do especially if you sell a lot of things. Plus I wouldn't go through all that trouble just to get the person banned. Ok, he gets banned, uses proxy and makes a new account, what did banning him accomplish?

 

Ideally we want users to learn from their mistakes and not get scammed again, which would (hopefully) discourage the scammer from continuing. Screenshots are much easier and quicker to save and upload than video's, and provide the same outcome; scammer is banned. The faster a scammer is banned, the more likely he won't evade again as all the time he invested into that account will be lost.

 

Well a lot of the scam reports are leechers, so they wouldn't be losing any time they put into that account. I just think sythe needs to re-think their banning policy or IP-Blocking stuff.

You Scam = You should get Ip-Banned

I know websites where, if ur banned it doesn't let you load the site, and if you try to use a proxy to register a new account, it recognizes it as a proxy and doesn't let you register. This would make more sense because then scammers would either need to reset their IP, purchase a VPN or find a way around it.

 

IP banning is useless; a simple router reset (most popular), proxy, VPN, etc... and they're back. There's nothing we can do about users getting scammed by leechers. If you use a trusted MM/OMM and only trade with other trusted users, as well as follow the various trading guides, I see no reason to be scammed.

Also, many users accidentally get IP blocked and resort to using proxies to access Sythe. It wouldn't be beneficial to block all detected proxies from accessing Sythe.

 

what you said about the Ip-Block, I said that sythe would detect a proxy is being used and not let the person register an account, it would still let them browse the forums if they already have an account.

I also see no reason you should get scammed if you have half a brain. Im just saying you waste time looking at the scam reports about leechers who probably scam 1/50 people they add. If you just didn't look at the ones about leechers and only looked at the people with vouches, high post count, who actually have something to lose when they get banned (they're time and reputation) and while you're still investigating the leechers scamming, the trusted scammers are scamming more people since they are trusted and people dont assume and dont take precautions with them.

 

I still don't think it'd be beneficial because if a new user wasn't aware of the automatic IP blocks, they might just refrain from registering.

It doesn't really matter; all scammers must be dealt with as soon as possible. For the most part, the section is moderated pretty fast compared to the past.

 

I dont understand how random people get Ip-Blocked.

But you should have a priority list, when you report a scammer there should be a forum you have to fill out including username, the system will check their post count and put the ones with high post count 500+ at the top of the report list because those are most likely the trusted ones which need to be dealt with as soon as possible.

 

I think the anti-ddos program automatically blocks IP's if they refresh a lot. Something like that.

Usually, well known names (staff, omm's, etc...) are dealt with first. Other than that, it's usually at a random order. The RaS section isn't a mess (at least at the moment), so there isn't really a need to go through the list in order of post count.
