Someone challenged me to a fight...?

Well, there's this kid that has a grudge on me because I ratted on him to his parents for breaking my iTouch, which then he was made to buy me a new one with his own money (well, who wouldn't). Now a year has gone by and he wants to fight me and he's publicly challenged me to a fight on Facebook. I haven't responded back yet. Even though I am not a fighting type and hate to aggravate violence, I know I have the upper hand against him because I have 15 pounds on him, few inches on him and I have been taking karate for a few years. Even with that said, I have not hit anyone outside a tournament in karate and which you're not supposed to use your full force to strike. I also wouldn't worry much for backup because I have my whole karate studio on my back. But I really hate to solve something with a force of violence.

Now the question is...

Should I fight him? I really don't want to fight him even though I have a good chance of winning. I don't want to say no and pussy out and make myself the laughing stock of the school... I can't ignore it because he goes to my school.

or...

Should I tell my parents? He just asked to fight me and called me a pussy... I don't think that's a threat - is it? Could I go to the police or something so I know he won't bother me again for sure? Could the cops do something? I don't really want to talk to their parents again , they're already pissed off for paying for my broken iTouch...

or...

Just ignore him? He'll come back when the school year starts and start spreading shit around... He has a big intimidating factor because he's a cocky bastard that thinks he's best at everything.

 

Well, I know you aren't supposed to use karate or any other form of martial arts unless it's in vital self defense, but it's definitely your upper hand. I would let things go to see if they blow over. If he keeps harassing you, humor him. Show up at the fight, but let him come to you. Don't exactly go all out. Just rough him up a little. evade his swings, put him in a hold or two, then see if he still wants to fight. If so, then that's when you finish him off.

 

If you know karate, you're obviously a better fighter. Just avoid his punches and kicks, and all the other guys will laugh at him. If necessary, throw a few shots of your own, but not too much to make him cry.

 

Just fight him. Worst thing that could happen is he gets a few dick shots on you. Size doesn't mean anything by the way.

Ehhh... The last thing I want to do is actually get into a real fight with him.

I don't think any of the blocks I've learned in karate will help much. We mostly focus on offense and sliding back when they try to strike you. I'm not doing MMA so I don't know what the fuck to do when he tries to rush you. I could just end it fast with a kick that inexperienced fighters don't know how to block right from the beginning, so it'll be like a 5 second fight... I'm not that amazing that I can block and evade all punches.

I want to solve this without violence, because the truth is, even though i know how to fight, I'm still a pussy when it comes to conflict.

ya if you cant avoid his hits.
just straight up at the start do a intense kick or a flurry of punches just end it fast.
if you dont want the fight to go on and you know how to fight and you the spots to go for.
hit his shit hard and take him out to avoid it later.
than say something smart to him so he will make sure not to bother you again

 

I'm going to speak from experience here, I had a very similar situation to this.

Fight him.

Make sure you get the first punch in. Give him the hardest hit you can in his nose or mouth and that'll be that. Nobody is a big man after they get smashed in those spots (believe me).

He will be crying since you have 15 pounds on him. Don't hit him while he's down. Just end it swiftly.

 

^this. Hit him in the nose so his eyes start to water, then position yourself properly and get a clean shot on his jaw, he will get knocked to the ground and possibly even KO.

I'm scared to "toy" with him and then it'll get him more aggravated and he might go berserk on me, so I'm thinking to end it fast... That's if I do fight. I'm going to leave that wall post on the wall and I'll see if he harrasses me again, if he does, I'll tell him place and location.

Farcast: Yeah he's a cocky bastard that thinks he can beat up anyone... After you hit him once hard, he'll shut the fuck up and shit his pants. Since he's inexperienced, I was planning to fake a punch to the head so he's protecting his head, lunge a "sparta kick" or a side kick into his solar plex, causing him to get winded the fuck out, and then use all that forward momentum to superman kick him.

Edit: I'm still not sure, I don't want to get in trouble with the law (like getting charged with physical assault). But I would like to get the first hit on him, because I want to "rush" him and get him when he least suspects it. :S

 

Tell him.. "Nah i don't have to resort to pussy situations to cover my ass in front of others and what they think. That shit don't phase me, i don't give a fuck N*GGA. I'm higher than that, i'm better than that."

But sometimes, you have to just finish something that cannot be finished without a good beating.

EDIT: But I don't know if it's risky/pratical, but the chances of him catching a kick when his hands are hovering above his head is pretty low, plus I'm 90% sure he's never taken martial arts. It also ends the fight in style. LOL. But all the school fights I've witnessed hasn't lasted longer than 30 seconds, which is an average time a punch lands on the face.

 

Just fight him. You know you're going to win so what's the big deal.
Make sure to get the first hit in. Go for a soft place like his throat. After that, hit him until he can't take anymore. Then just walk away and he won't ever dare to talk to you again.

I'm assuming you're still a minor, if I'm correct then you're fine. You won't be charged for assault as long as you don't hit him while he's down and cause life threatening damage.

I'd stray away from all those flashy moves to be honest with you. You can end a fight with ONE fast well-placed punch to the face (anywhere from the nose-below).

Kicks are extremely easy to counter, I wouldn't try any of that. Just my opinion.

 

Pretty low to tell someone's parents on them. How old are you? You could have just kicked his ass when he broke your ipod in the first place to force him to buy you a new one. I'm sure everyone on facebook thinks he's a faggot already for challenging someone to a fight on fb.. Ignore the fight request and if things don't cool off by the next time you see him do what you must. Don't strike first, but if he does.. ^_^

 

Well I would be pissed too if someone broke my iTouch. What good would you do if you beat the shit out of him when he broke your iTouch?

Honestly, if you want to hurt him.. Before the fight just call him out on how he's just all talk and he made it such a big deal because he put it on FB.. Cause that's embarrassing.
