are iphones worth it?

I have an iPod touch, 3rd Gen 32GB. It does exactly what an iPhones does except it cannot make calls. I don't know about you but I don't feel like paying another few 100 pounds just to make calls, and tie myself in with an expensive contract.

Which is why I stick my my iPod Touch + BlackBerry combo. Does exactly what an iPhone does but it's alot cheaper and I prefer BlackBerry as a phone compared to the iPhone.

 

Absolutely not. I have a cheaper and better phone running Android, and I have the money for iPhone, but I've got much better things spending my money on.

 

iPod touch 32GB are £200... I bought my 32GB 3GS For £350 of gumtree so basically you spent £400+ on a blackberry + an iPod when you could of had the exactly the same experience from a iPhone. I've got a bold so I know about blackberry's they haven't got anything grand about them, I just bought one cause I felt left out on having a BB pin XD.

 

No sir. The cheapest iPhone contracts are something like £40 a month. My BlackBerry contract gives me a FREE BlackBerry Bold, Unlimited texts, 300 Minutes and 3G Internet for only £25/month. About half the price an iPhone would charge. Alot cheaper in the long run!

 

That is where you're wrong. You can get an iPhone for as less as £25/month, although you do need to pay for the phone. You say you get all that for your Blackberry but iPhones don't freeze/crash all the time.

 

For an iPhone with the same contract as my Blackberry, it would cost £100 one off charge, plus £35/month rather than £10/month. A considerable amount more. By the way, I don't know what you mean by freeze/crash all the time, mine has never done that.

 

Count yourself lucky then. The chances of him getting a Blackberry and it not crashing/freezing are very slim now, especially if he gets a Curve.

 

Mines a 9700 Bold, admittedly I have only had it for a week or 2, none-the-less I've had no problems so far.

If you're looking for a great phone and a complete personal device that does virtually everything but turn wine into water, then yes it's definitely worth it

 

I bough one i regret that i bough it, it sucks hard to text message, it got broken soon thanks rise eating chinees who made this shit.

 

Get a Samsung GalaxyS It's better then a Iphone 4G and is cheaper.
You can also put your own music on it without having to use Apple programs.
and you can download apps from Android marketplace.


It also has Swype on it which allows you to make words without even having to type them.

Soon it will get a android update which will make it even faster then it is now + it will have Flash support.

I voted yes, but there are phones with similar capabilities for less. It all depends on what you need... internet access, texting, calling etc. I'd personally go for a blackberry since they're similarly priced.

 

iPhones are good but you have a good combo.

Just stick with what you have, I guess.

In my opinion, they are worth it simply because you get internet access, hot apps, and a phone all in one. The downside to that is that the monthly bill is kind of expensive =/, but I think it's still worth it. It's a great time killer

 

Get one. I had the original, loved it, got the 3g, broke it after 18months, got a 3gs, sold after 2 weeks and got an iPhone 4. I love it <3

 

I have an iPhone 4, and sure enough.
There good, they fixed the connection corner, they don't crash, easy to use and good contracts too.
Money wise - Not worth it, but still a very good phone.

Samsung Galaxy S is going to be awesome.

Too bad I can't afford it, I'll probably just go for a cheaper android phone like the hero
