Grave Digging

While this use to be an infraction, it is no more.. Why not? This is a very annoying act.. Perhaps make it an infraction in some forums? I see why people would be against it in like Runescape General, etc. The black-market though it should be.

I've reported people for gravedigging recently and they were infracted.

 

I agree with Tmoe on this one.
Grave digging is annoying since it died a long time ago and someone randomly brings it up.

I think that it should be re-added to the rules. I've always busted people for gravedigging, no matter if I were a Moderator or not.

 

I always infract a grave digger, then close the thread - and a lot of the time, the grave digging post is spam anyhow
I'm not sure how other moderators deal with them...

 

I reported a grave digging post, and Alteranz locked/infracted him for it.

 

More often than not, gravedig posts are spam and are infracted accordingly. After that, the thread is just closed.

 

I agree with you there. If someone's giving an offer on an account on a dead thread, it's not really spam, so I cannot infract.
I always lock the thread leaving a message that if OP wants it opened he/she can pm a moderator.

 

If the thread has been dead for over a month, then it IS spam

 

Well actually, I went into a thread for rs private server development and found it very interesting + helpful. I wanted to bump it with a useful additon / comment, but then that would be gravedigging.

THAT kind of grave digging should be useful, yes? because it'd be a useful resource old topic or not...people would be able to find it easier and I added somethign useful to it.

 

Absolutely, I think gravedigging should be banned from market, and that's it.

If a thread has received no offers for over a month, and the OP has stopped posting as well - you would assume it's a dead sale right?
