    Accepting the Prospect of Death

I was curious about your opinions on this seemingly morbid subject.

If you were to die tomorrow.. are you at peace with yourself? Your actions? Your life?

Have you accepted the possibility of death at any time? However slim the chances may be?

    Why or why not?

There would be no point to not accept it, If you have no control over your fate, you should accept it, why Die with sadness? Surely that isn't the way to die.

I believe I would accept death, However, I do fear dying in pain, I would rather die either instantaneously or painlessly, I would not be able to bear it otherwise.

The reason I ask is because for many, death is a difficult subject to wrap their mind around.

I'm sure there are many cases where people feel they have not accomplished enough to embrace death.

I'm one person to say I haven't really accomplished much in life. There's still much more for me to do, and much more for me to seek before I die. I probably wouldn't be at peace with myself if I suddenly died.

    If I'm dead, I'm dead.

There is no time to consider your life and whether you accomplished what you wanted to, you're simply here one second and gone the next.

The way I see it, you cannot accept or deny your impending death. It will happen, at an unknown time, whether you like it or not. Although, I am talking about death in the sense it applies to me: as a healthy young person, rather than a wasting figure in a bed.

No, i personally believe someone should not be content with dying until that faithful moment actually does happen... you should want to do more in your life, see more, feel more in your life.

After you accept the fact that you will die i believe that you will stop cherishing those small moments in life and just say ahhh whats the point in this? excuse me if i am wrong but that is just my opinion.

I've accepted that I may die at any given time, and I'm fine with that. That's why I have to repent my sins constantly, but let's not get into that subject now.

    Accepting the Prospect of Death

I am scared of death. I wonder how and when, what I could of done if I hadn't of died and what I want to do before hand.
I admit that if I dead suddenly, I think that there would be no reason to be proud of me, I haven't accomplished much and I would atleast like the opportunity.
I accept that I'm going to die, It happens to all of us. Death is all around, Just get over it people. Don't "think" you're going to die. Know. Just accept it and do what you can with your life. All I want to do is live mine.

The whole idea is hard to grasp, Where does my mind go, what actually happens to my memories and thoughts.
When I think about my Grandma when she died, When I think about it fully, I realise she isn't coming back. Ever.

    Accepting the Prospect of Death

I'm not afraid of death at all. What I'm afraid of is what happens after death. I am a Christian and believe in heaven and hell but what happens in between that moment of life and heaven/hell. That is what i am truly afraid of. i have not lived my life and hope to live many many more years. I am not in peace with myself and probably regret half the stuff i have done in my lifetime. in conclusion No i'm not afraid of death I'm afraid of whats after...

I'm more scared of How I die more than anything. It scares me to think that one day I'll be fine and the next I'll be on a hospital bed with people surrounding me feeling sorry. I can't imagine what it feels like to know you're about to die.

Same but i dont have a religion. There has to be something after death as you cant just not exist, its almost physically impossible to think about yourself not been there not even your thoughts. But then i guess its like what was before birth. It realy confuses me :(

Being fairly young, it doesn't cross my mind much, but I accept it. The only thing I fear is the sadness I would of caused to my family and relatives, that's why when I die, I want a funeral of celebrating my life, not regretting anything about it.

I would not accept death at such a young age (19) however with the prospect of death looming over you it would be hard for someone to be content with life and just die.

Man, being spoiled with the gift of life would naturally by instinct be filled with greed and hunger for every second longer he/she can attain on this Earth.

If I were to die tomorrow, would I feel peace with myself? Not at all, I have several challenges to overcome, and several problems to fix. My actions? More or less, I'd like to say many of my actions have been towards the betterment and well being of those around me. I do wish to amend in someway deeds I committed in the past, however. Life? Not at all, it's just begun for me. I wish to have some more time. As for your last question(s), I've accepted the possibility of death at any time, and don't find myself running away/scared from/of it. - Although I'm not too happy about the fact I may die any second, it's good just to acknowledge it.

    I agree with this,

I'm only 15 although I often think about death, I don't fear death at all, I only fear of what it would do to those around me.

That is one of the main causes I'm alive, I won't get all dramatic about suicide and shit but I would most likely be dead if it wasn't for those people around me that I would hurt.

It's not physically impossible at all.

If you like, think about how you were before you were born. You simply did not exist.

Yes, but you can't imagine what people were like before you were there and how they'd be after you're gone. I believe that, in my family, I created a big change just from being born, so me dying would reverse that change and they'd go back to.. well, I don't know.

    Accepting the Prospect of Death

This is almost a perfect summary of what I was going to post, I am some what young and I think about death but I'm not afraid of death just what my death would do to certain individuals.
