When banned.

Perhaps when you are banned, in the reason of your banned you could get a code type thing. So, when appealing it you put it in your appeal so you can verify who is who, since some people can just apply for someones ban, and then use up the appeal and ruin there chances of getting unbanned. Also it could stop people from re-applying so many times, so only one code is given out. There could be a page not allowing access to make a thread without the code, or just post the code in the thread.

If you are still unsure about what the suggestion is.
Basically If you get banned. You can't differentiate who is the actual person who is disputing the ban, or some random person.
So say I get banned. Some random person could put rhodesy unregistered and then write abuse, etc and ruin my chances of getting unbanned.

So, in the ban reason, You could have a code, which is private to you so you can know who is who. Then you put the code in a page before the dispute or in the actual dispute, so things can be tidier as well, also limited to one dispute.
Could be something like this.

Yeah, I've seen about two cases, there is without a doubt more.
Also it could stop people re-applying. As to make a thread, you need to submit a code or something.

Great idea Rhodesy! My only issue would be banned members ban evadng so they can post disputes, however I'm sure the moderators
will be able to control this.

 

I support 100% it would prevent people from spamming the dispute forum keep organization in the community and even take some stress off the admins

 

This is a good idea, to build on how this could work, I wrote this

The banned Member will be known as X

X recieved Ban message via E-mail, in this email contains a URL, which at the end has a 6 digit reference code, this reference code is linked X's Sythe Account, and the Guest Username he'll be using for The appeal (it should be preset by vB, to BANAPPEAL - Username)

upon arriving at this link, it'll have a warning message, displaying that once he submits an appeal, you can not appeal again, it'll have the choice "Proceed, Cancel"

Once proceed, it leads to the post submission page, just like a normal "New Topic', Which then you can post,

Once viewing this link again, It'll display "You've already Posted an Appeal!",
Also, you could write the vB script so that once a moderator replies with the verdict, an email is sent to his/her email. Giving out the link.

i dont know, just a random guess of how I'd do it.

 

There may be a way of preventing anyone other than apprentice, guru, grand master and staff from posting in that section, though I'm not sure of this. That would solve the issue of people ban evading to post more disputes I guess.
