Rumors about 3rd Age items

For the passed coup,e weeks I have heard both sides of the story all throughout runescape, and now its time to bring it to the sythe community. What do you guys think will happen with 3rd age?

I have been told...

1. It is going to crash because they are becoming more available in-game
2. They are dropping now, but are going to skyrocket soon

I have heard more that they are going to go back up, but now i want your opinion. Please don't just vote on the poll, I'd love to hear your reasoning

P.S. I am getting involved in this also, i bought 3rd age mage top and bottom about a month ago.

 

the same is occuring with ranger boots, i'll be honest, i've held onto my pairs. I plan on buying several pairs immediately following the update if it doesn't effect them i'll probably buy 5 or so pairs.

 

I think 3rd age is gona crash. With the new treasure trail items being released people will want those and 3rd age will crash since the demand will be down. Just my opinion...

 

I reckon 3rd age will drop, but will rise again depending on the new items released on the update.

I doubt the items will be any more valuable than 3rd age.

 

I think that the 3a items are gonna crash for the same reason as 1994rangers, with the new "elite" clue scroll rewards, people will lose interest in third age because something even better may come out with the update

 

3a is going to rise. Less people doing level 3 clues = less 3a. So in theory, it should rise.

 

I don't see Jagex actually messing with the existing clue drop rates, so 3a will probably remain as rare as it is. A few people will upgrade to the new stuff, but 3a is generally popular enough to refrain from crashing too hard.

 

I think its going to drop. Reasons:

- The new 'elite' clue scroll are released soon, these are bound to have 3a as a drop, when these get easier to get, people wont have such a demand to buy from the g.e, therefore it will probably go down.

 

Not to mention that you're guaranteed a clue specific item every time once they update it... Which means that more 3a will be coming in to the game imo.

xD probs not theyll dip then cras/rise depending on quality of the new clue drops. Any ideas what theyll be?

 

I have a feeling a crash will take place. Not just because more are coming into the game, but because people will panic over the smallest things and sell their 3rd age for lowest.

 

You can already tell that this isn't just a periodic drop in price. Last time 3rd age was falling, people would be able to sell it as 70% cash easily. These days, it's hard to get 50% cash. Also, every single piece of 3rd age, maybe except vambraces or something, sells min in g.e., including platebody and platelegs
