Got scammed how to chargeback?

So, I just got scammed 25$, how do I chargeback, I know it's against the rules but if you want, I recorded the scam.

 

What did you pay with? Paypal, money bookers, wu
was it bank funded transfer or credit card?

 

Paypal, bank funded.

 

What did you send the payment as?

 

As a gift.

 

Well, in Paypal's eyes, you just gave him a gift. So there's no "legal" way to get the money back since you weren't buying anything. You can still try doing an unauthorized dispute, but I have no experience in that so I'm not sure what you'd have to provide.

Report the scammer and I guess give your bank or paypal a call and tell them you didnt have authorization at that time you sent the payment.

 

It aint as easy as that if u deny u did that transaction they will ask u to fill out a fruad form and if u do and get found out u lied u cud face some consequences....

 

Indeed, I think I got to agree with being scammed, I'll fill in a scam reporting thingy later, I'll just go and bot for money now.

Hey really sad to hear you got scammed, although it was quite a small amount Im pretty sure you can phone up your bank (depending country) and explain that you was scammed and they will charge back the transaction.

 

When the money is taken off from you bankaccount, just bring your bank a visit and tell them you didn't authorized the transaction.

I've got no experience with paypal myself, but I did do it once my fitness school was still charging money after I quit there.. My bank recovered my money immediately when I told them my side of the story..

 

Also if you do manage to charge back this transaction, you will get the money back but as you sent it as a gift paypal will hold you liable for it

 

just say that you left your computor on and that your brother /sister sent the money to some one with out your permission also say that you have changed ur passsword / put a password so when u leave the computor on no one else can access it this is what i did when some guy scammed me and i got the money back

 

If you sent it as a gift and included a note stating you already paid for these virtual goods. You won't get your money back.
