you say botting increases supply and lowers price, but all ive seen is inflation even with the increase in botting.

Jagex just needs to do 7 day bans and that is it, botters are runescape thats all there is too it,

if we didnt have botters we would see very very very rich people in runescape (5<%) and very very very poor account the other 95 percent

    Go botters!

That's cuz not everyone bots ess. A bunch of people bot soulwars, make shitty pures, and run around in PVP helping the inflation get worse.

Personally I don't think Jagex condones Botting in a sense that if you were sit at your computer, watching it (or browsing forums ((Sythe.org I hope))). Whereas if you were to have 5 accounts running in 5 different spots, whilst sleeping, that's a different story.

Yes, without bots there wouldn't be AS many ores / fish / logs in circulation, but you also have to remember that this would cause people to keep their own raw materials. Did you ever think that without bots, runescape raw material trading wouldn't exist, and if it did, the prices would be absurd?

How is it overcrowded? There is not enough decent spots to collect raw materials these days, yes bots contribute to that, but they certainly don't account for every person. I myself was at swamp toads, and had 3 botters there. That's what annoys me though. But I guess, in the end, live a cheater, die a cheater.

Imagine if they removed raw material trading =0

But on a serious note; I think of it like this: If you took away every (ABSOLUTELY NO offence to anyone) illegal who worked in carpentry, imagine how high house prices would rise.

Take away bots (cheap, dependable 'manual' labor) and we have our our price skyrocket.

Well i played legit til lv 101 and adventure logs came out. I looked at mine and it said I wasted 95 days of my life, i wanted to cry. Then i was hacked and got into botting, hey ill make the money i earned legit back and not waste more of my life! If you bot to save your own life being wasted training a skill for hours on end then bottings fine. I hate people that do it just for rwt trading though >.>

Of course they aren't going to encourage cheating publicly... and it has nothing to do with stubbornness. Perhaps Jagex staff are aware of the pros and cons of botting, but they will never embrace it- and this is completely understandable.

Your totally right, I hope they never to do be honest. Just think if botting was not illegal, how many bots would be in runescape? All those kids that have their parents paying member ship would buy bots if it weren't illegal. The game would be ruined, all the spots filled up etc. I'm glad they are taking the initiative to ease up on us since we do contribute way to much to the economy to get rid of.

Dragon bones went from 2m ea to 5.8m each.
Without all those Green Dragon bots then wouldn't the bone prices skyrocket since there is a smaller supply?

But you also have to consider: these bots produce a lot of incoming cash that also contribute to inflation- too much money in the game that makes everything rise.

So it can go both ways.

No I dont agree with you, since botters lowered prize and its not worth anymore to do wc,fishing, mining ... without bots , because its very slow money making and also boring. There are much funnier ways to get money like monster hunting etc...so bots lowered all prices in economy, since people who wanted to earn money did some skills like wc or fishing , but now its not worth to do it ,because bots lowered price of supplies. So this legit players went to MH ,because they thought that its good way to make money. However many players start with MH so they got more drops and lowered price of mh loots. Its all in circle. I thinking that botting sucks , make game not worth playing and is pointless since game should be about fun , not about running some bots.
