How long does it take for unban appeals to be answered?

My account got banned from 1-80 dungeoneering because of Crab's bug abuse method. I didn't know this ban until a few days ago so I sent in an appeal approximately 3 days ago and it has not been answered yet. I thought it usually takes 3 days or so, does anyone know how long it takes?

 

It's taken up to 3 months for me before... it really varries on how quickly their bot pastes an accepted or declined reply.

 

3 freaking months? What a joke.

I don't understand because recovery appeals take an hour and unlock appeals take 24 hours but fucking unban appeals can take up to 3 months? Biggest bs ever.

 

Bug abuse is generally a longer wait.

I tried to appeal bug abuse on my main after d-bolt dupe glitch. Took them about a month and a half to respond and they denied it with an automated message.

Good luck, bug abuse is usually a death sentence.

 

Is it a perm ban?

Well im on my 4th week of no answer from my appeal. So expect to wait up to 3+ weeks. I suggest you don't even think about it lol.

runescape uses bots to rad appeals so about 3-4 months

 

Out of honesty, check when the ban expires. Some bans have a one year waiting period before it automatically ends the ban in expiration. I've had countless accounts get unbanned after a year for bug abuse, account sharing/selling, and much more. I can't say that will work for macroing though as that's a perm ban offense. Some bans do say perm ban when they have a one year expiration date.

It depends what's said in the appeal as well, sometimes they will extend an appeal if they find it believable which will take longer for a response.

Banned: Your account will be available again in 14 days, or earlier if you submit a successful offence appeal.

My account was banned for 21 days as soon as I unlocked my account.

Permban=takes months to change status and 99.99999% of the time it's an automated rejection.

So it is a 14 day, 21 day or perm?

yeah i got permed for getting death runes out of barb assault, which was like 2 years ago.. jagex is slack as, there's not even a date when it will be expired.. :/

Well that's good. In that case there's no reason to appeal. Personally, my macroing appeal I never appealed because well, macroing is macroing and I'm going to take the offense as deserved. The only few times I've ever appealed an offense was for account sharing (pretty basic, I didn't want to be accused for selling/sharing the account to cause a perm ban) and a password scam appeal (which was obviously not a password scam attempt, I was telling someone that runescape does not block out the password and I got muted for it)

There might be a way to appeal it, but there will always be a risk of the account getting banned once more or locked if you indicate it was not you and it was somebody else. Be careful what you say in the appeal if you DO appeal. I've never been banned for any of the bugs I've abused, but I wish you the best of luck =)

 

Thanks bro, I really appreciate it. This is the account which got banned for macroing a month ago for 14 days and I sent an appeal just in-case but the appeal got denied after 3 days. However since crab was the one who did the bug abuse on my account, I think I have a pretty slim chance of my appeal being accepted. But anyways even if it gets accepted and locked, I can unlock it easily so yea, once again thanks.

 

I like how they are Temp bans now instead of perms..
Just wait out the 2 weeks if your appeal doesn't get accepted.

It's no big deal.

That gives you the excuse to start a new account to bot.

 

Alright guys, bad news; the unban appeal got denied.

What also disappointed me was the fact that Jagex banned me again for bug abuse and this time, a permanent ban.
I just sent another appeal so I hope my account gets unbanned this time.
