Botting my UNBANNED OSRS Account, thoughts?

So basically I have an account that was banned permanently for macroing in 2015. 5 years later, jagex introduces a system where they forgive you after 5 years and I'm able to get the account unbanned. 3 years later, I'm thinking of botting it (smartly of course) again.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Have you gotten a 2 day ban again after getting caught, getting banned permanently, unbanned years later, then botting again? Thanks.

 

from 2 day ban i have always got a perm ban, never another 2 day ban

 

I don't think you read the post properly. I said after being unbanned given the circumstances, not after a 2 day ban

I can't attest to whether you'll get banned or not. With that said, if it were me, I'd feel relatively comfortable botting intelligently.

 

Thanks for the response. I'm still unsure about botting it as I'd feel way more comfortable knowing my first offense would be a 2-day ban, giving me some leeway to at least not get permed immediately. I'll await more responses

 

You will surely get perm banned. They will not give you a 2-day ban especially after coming off of a perm ban prior for the same offense. I would avoid botting on that account if you wish to keep it. Good luck!

I've only had one account that was in this situation (perm ban in 2007, unban in 2021) and it received another perm ban when I started botting on it. Of course, it may have been a situation where even an account that didn't have a previous ban would have been perm banned, on the account page it just appears as "macroing major". In general I'd advice to never bot on an account you're not ready to have perm banned.

 

Thanks for the response! That makes logical sense but jagex has given 2 day bans and then another 2 day ban after the initial one expired, so I thought it may work the same in this situation.

What were you botting/was it a gold farming method? I know accounts are normally banned permanently when goldfarming, although my main received a 2 day ban even though I was doing something heavily gold farmed at the time, simply because jagex must've known my account was a main and decided to give me another chance.

Regardless, I appreciate the response and I'll definitely think twice about botting it again. Might just have to create a separate account for botting. Cheers

 

I was testing stuff (remoting to an actual physical phone and a few other things) so it's not an apples to apples comparison to most botting, but it was just alching 5-10 hours per day and got banned on week 2 of doing that.

 

In my opinion you'll be monitored fairly closely for an amount of time. If you're planning to bot right away I'd recommend, at the very least, sprinkling in some legitimate gameplay with whatever you're planning to automate as well as a handful of other activities on the days you bot. From there, ease into it.

I'd recommend doing research on whatever platform you plan to use. Everyone will claim theirs has the lowest ban rate, it's better you check out their communities first, whether that be websites or Discord channels and read the most up-to-date feedback on said botting platforms. After that, give them a try, even on a throwaway account until you're convinced it's safe enough to use for your newly unbanned account.

 

I got perm banned a few times then got the account back years later. If u wanna use it to make a quick buck and dont mind losing it. Go for it

 

I’ve had a few perm bans to then recover the account and then macro again.

after the perm ban was reversed, and the ban was “quashed”.

On the accounts I played on I was able to bot again (depending on what the botting activity is results may vary) and get a 2 day ban

So at this moment in time is the account still banned?
Unless it's a maxed account just send it. 50/50 you get banned or not. They've cracked down a lot recently I've had straight perms with no 2 day for Macroing Major's. You'd be best playing just that account on a proxy then if it get's banned hop onto your home ip and claim hijacked. Rinse & Repeat.

 

If you actually care about the account, I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise if it’s a throw away, then go for gold and try make some $$ off it
