    Effects of Botting

There are several groups of people in runescape who constantly say 'botters suck' , they 'ruin' the game. I think otherwise. Without botters- fish, logs, runes, ore, essence, etc would all be extremely exspensive since there would be a less supply. With botting, and the amount of botting happening recently, a lot of these commonly used items are kept at a better, affordable price.

Runescape is too repetitive to not bot.

Everyone agrees with what you have just said. (Unless they are -12 years and under and don't know jack about the game, or just plain stupid.)

I can bot on rs and have fun on non-repetitive games.. it's a win win.

Hence the fact that jagex started handing out 14 day bays instead of perm bans. They realize that botters have a positive effect on the economy, but they are to stubborn to admit it publicly.

Botters bring in like 70% of membership revenue nowadays, that's why it's 2 weeks.

Botting is like getting a sit on lawnmower. You're still doing, but with a little assist.

I bot, and play legit. Though I did play legit for many years before trying out botting.

Botting just gives you that bit extra. Instead of wasting your time trying to make gold, botting helps.

Plus, botting helps fund the supplies for the economy.

    Cool story bro.

OT - I agree, imagine how much essence would be without the hundreds of bots botting it daily.

But you all have to remember, if everyone in runesacpe botted, what would it be like.

Not that that is ever going to happen due to Jagex's stupid propaganda.

botters are part of runescape now,

if there are 30K botters out there, then atleast 10k are members, at $5.95 each per month, thats ALOT of money, jagex would NOT want to lose that much money.

I miss RWT to be honest. Yews 250 ea, a lot of skills that are money sinks now could break even or even make profit back then. *Sigh*

Runescape would suck without bots. You'd have to be an idiot not to bot. Definitely, they keep they prices lower and resources in supply. And to those people that say "botters suck" I say to them, "What, you want to click on boring sht all day? Go for it."

I can understand people complaining about 24/7 bots though and people that don't actually play the game, they only bot for RWT and that.

Botters do also crash rune prices, make green drags impossible to kill, and ruin your gp/hr if you are {mining ess, fishing, mining ores, or woodcutting}.

    Still. <3 botting.

I love when people make up numbers, show me a link to where you got 70%.
It could be 71%, it could be 72%, it could be 6%, if you don't know something, DON'T LIE.

I think this is actually true, I recently had 2 accounts that I botted near-nonstop on get 14 day bans as opposed to permaban.
