[denied] List the Scythe Unofficial Community Server

Add the unofficial Scythe Community server to one of the Sythe server links.

It's a new server where we don't care if the server is nuked.

Its all Sythe related and seeks to promote sythe activity.

Additionally we have excellent porn bots to circle jerk together

Freedom of speech is allowed here. Sythe is a free market.

No free market without freedom of speech.

Therefore, the new server is a fundamental part of Sythe

I support:

1. Sythe needs a boost in activity. This might help.
2. Your server solves that problem by 'complementing' the current server. Freedom of speech is limited in the current one, in yours there is much more freedom
3. The current discord bans is dividing the community into fragments, actively killing it's activity. This is a way to bring liberals and their counterparts together

 

I agree. This isn’t meant to be a competition between servers.

Just a place where people can speak freely and without the worry of being banned or timed out.

currently, a number of users are banned from the main discord for controversial comments and it’s resulting in lack of activity amongst the main server.

This would be a way to bring activity back.

All while obliging by Sythe trade rules.

 

I don’t want people to get the impression this is a racist hub.

this is just a server where you can post or say controversial things without being censored or getting cancelled.

Why separate activity between two when you can just be in the official discord? If activity growth is the goal here, then it would make sense to stick to one discord server. If you can follow the rules on here, then it should not be an issue to do the same on discord.

Sadly a lot of users have been banned lately for violating the Sythe General rules, specifically they were mentioning words that were forbidden.

Sythe general will still serve as the 'main discord', and serve its function as a safe space, whereas the new group will allow its users to be free in their communications.

 

in the current sythe general, anything from toxic words, to inappropriate memes, to contradictory political positions etc is BANNED by biased moderators.

Whether it is to push their own agenda or uphold “rules” is up to their discretion entirely.

in this unofficial server, it allows people to speak and say as they please free of judgment and discipline while still promoting sythe and website activity to maintain trading and services etc

 

If anything, the new server is bringing the community together.

For instance, I observed that before the big Magz-wipe a lot of users who were on the more left-leaning side of the political spectrum joined the new server to have discussions with their political counterparts. You see, this is all about political fragmentation that we want to avoid by allowing and promoting free speech

 

I would be willing to transfer ownership or admin rights to @Sythe if he is interested in promoting the server and overseeing things.

We don’t want the community to be divided but we’re left with no choice but to make a second community server to allow freedom of communication and opinions.

the second server can still promote and redirect to the website and main server where more strict rules are upheld.

this second server allows for the ability to say/do what you want without worry of losing the main server to any trivial things or stuff that’s said

 

Unfortunately, some users are unable to express their feelings or even political opinions without the use of certain words. Heck, at some point there was even a debate about banning the name of a country from mentioned in the server. Those users are actively shied away by the current server's policy. They are a big part of our community and there needs to be an alternative to that.

 

Should we create an unofficial forum to appease banned users as well? Rules have consequences. I wouldn’t support lifetime bans on discord, unless it’s also because you’re perm banned on the site as well. Knowing the rules, purposely acting out against them, and then being mad about the consequence isn’t something that should be rewarded. Is anyone stopping you guys from creating a server that has no affiliation to Sythe?

 

1- you’re comparing apples to oranges. A second forum doesn’t accomplish anything, scammers/banned forum members are not permitted anywhere in this discord. scamming isn’t tolerated either.

2- no one is mad. That’s your interpretation of the situation. Everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves.

3- as of now the server isn’t affiliated with sythe. It’s called scythe. We are opening the possibility to create that affiliation or partnership is all

 

1. It was a comment made in jest; hyperbole. To show how absurd the suggestion is.

2. I would say you are displeased (synonymous for mad) about site rules. Enough so to make an argument against rules being followed.

3. What is wrong with the server not being affiliated to Sythe? It doesn’t make much sense to want the unofficial server to be affiliated to Sythe, but not to share the same rules. To be affiliated with a group is to share common interests. I don’t think your interests align with the betterment of Sythe. Especially since you’re advocating for separation, not togetherness.
