    What a long life.

This morning I believe, this was up; I won't need to say any more.

Discuss, though 130 is a very old age, and would be beating the world record at the moment of the French man (114yrs). She claims to be 130, but honestly how would she keep track? But thats not the thing; the thing is; she lost her birth certificate as well. This is arguable as well; since 130 years is a long time; I'm surprised she hasn't lost her life.

Discuss, she is still being examined for her claim.

PS, if this should be in SFA's, move it ;)

Again, no valid documents. investigation's wont be valid unless written evidence is found. I've seen claims for 140 and 150 year old people.

Yeah, show some proof. I mean, it'd be nice to see somebody that old, but proof

It's possible, but without the right documentation it's just going off their word.

That would be crazy to live that long...I wouldn't want to live to be that old. Time to see what they have to say in the claim.

    Not really...

But I think it's feasible, hopefully they verify this as I'm curious if she is telling the truth.

    What a long life.

She's been in 3 centuries and I bet she's seen everything: the world changing, the economy, the world's problems, etc.

I personally wouldn't want to live that long. It'd be too much problems and life wouldn't feel great.

Thats crazy, seeing her picture on the article, I believe it. If you pick the right lifestyle, it is possible. I hope to maybe just get to 100.

    What a long life.

Would technology such as carbon dating work on a living human being? If it would work, then her age could be accurately found.

    What a long life.

I can imagine only living to 80 years old, maximum. I wouldn't ever try to live past 100 years old, I probably couldn't do the things I would want to do at that age.

Uh.. everything in your body replaces itself over time. There isn't an ounce of you within you that you had when being born.

Cells reproduce and die very, very quickly.

I didn't read all the replies... but did anyone else catch that her grandson is only 40? That means she had a kid at 90 years old? I would really love to see if this is real or not.

    What a long life.

If you read the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, you'll see a reference to something like this. "Old" people in rural towns in rural countries claim to be very old, and look old just because of shitty healthcare. They're investigated, and usually disproved.
