That is where the definition of alien becomes confused. Is an alien of a different origin such as a planet although identical to a human still considered an alien? That i could not tell you.

Medical reasons, the study of a human anatomy for materials. Mind you this all happened through out the 60' to 80's that is what i've read up to on this stuff.

Indeed the chances of life forming on a planet are one in a billion, you have to have the right chemicles, the right distance from a star, the right greenhouse affect, the right atmosphere conditions, and so on.



But seeing as the universe is forever expanding, you would have to presume that one in a billion chance could very well happen again( we could be that again, who is sayin we were the first intelligent life forms? ), if it hasent already.




To go along with this, since the universe is technically infinite, we will probably never know if there other intelligent life besides our selfs elsewhere in the universe.


And i, tbh, dont give a fuck. We need to get our own problems fixed before we try and find some other civilization out in space.

Althought our studys seem to show the universe as infinite how can we know this to be true for all we it has an end in some shape or form that once reached could change everything.


As for the whole aliens already on our planet well if u belive some people althought not respected scientists every life form on this planet may not have even originated on earth.Meaning techenically every one and thing is "alien"

As for meeting "aliens" we would have to travel at the speed of light or close to it and be able to 100% sustain life with no out side help i.e food/water/human life(which could cause problems as in "Incestious" relations possibly causing health problem whiich would also have to be catered for)

They would still be Alien to our planet. If they are/were living on this planet, I'm sure there are plenty of resources useful to any extra-solar civilization.
But I am not a firm believer of Human-Alien cohabitation solely due to the vast amounts of pseudoscience plaguing the internet. For example, the "Reptilian invasion" bullshit really pisses me off. Believers of said invasion take various clips of picture malfunction (i.e. blurs, pixelation in video) and pass it off as a "Reptilian". They also find that licking your own lips is a tell-tale sign of the "Reptilians".

Although your argument is somewhat correct (they did not justify "huge" in any manner) you also did not justify your stance of questioning their beliefs of a huge universe. Your post made it seem that you believed in a small, finite universe as opposed to a vast, ever-growing universe.
That's the way I interpreted it.

 

For me an Alien is something not on this planet. If the medical technology we got of them is what we have now, I'm not very impressed. Still no cure for cancer or the cold, they mustn't be very advanced space-faring aliens.

 

I believe in other life forms out in the universe. Most likely in another galaxy. My dad is an alien fanatic and is always watching videos about them.

 

They are probably in this galaxy also. I believe this galaxy alone has about one million stars.

 

No it's not. Life on a moon/planet is not that rare. Infact the chance that there is life in our own solar system is there....on moons like Europe and Enceladus and even Pluto might contain life.
Not to forget that 1 billion is nothing if you compare it to the amount of stars that are out there. Estimated: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 but might be way more. Each star can contain planets these planets can have moons that can also contain life.

More like 100-400 Billion.

 

Space is expanding. Not matter. The distance between planets etc. is what's expanding, thus the universe itself. How does this increase the chances from what they once were of a solar system similar to ours existing?

 

And logically speaking, you wouldn't say "I'm walking on water" when you're treading through snow.

Yeah, but the way he explained it was like he thought Ice, Water, etc., were completely different things, which they're not.
And I obviously know that you wouldn't say that, but you are, technically speaking, treading on water.

 

I believe in Aliens. We can't be the only things living in the world.

The bible states water. Not liquid water for that is an absurdity in linguistics. Water IS liquid. Ice IS solid. Steam IS gas. Though they share chemical composition, that's not what defines them. It's an amalgamation of both chemical compound and state.

On the other hand that all ties down to the government. Just think why there is no cure for AIDS, Cancer etc. You know why there is no cure? because they don't want to have a cure for the most killing disease in the world. how would they be able to control the vastly growing population? they couldn't unless they design a man made disease such as AIDS which is contactable by the quickest method, sex. Thats how they are able to control our population, soon we will run out of resources hence the government trying to find a planet worth inhabiting. Until then they need to control the population somehow. Smartest way is diseases

 

Interesting theory, but it has nothing to do with extra-terrestrial beings.
PS. That would have to be a worldly decision to not find a cure for AIDs etc, and the likelihood of all the world leaders being sadistic bastards that want to kill off the human race instead of introducing laws to restrict 2 birth periods per family is a little absurd and depressing to think.
